We stayed here as part of a Gate 1 tour. This place was such a cute hotel. It's a quaint, old-timey type place. They are n the process of building, so expect construction. Perfect place between Cusco and Machu Picchu. Get train from Ollantaytambo so it's cheaper. Clean and cool bathrooms. Good food and great service. Simple but helpful and Internet. Also beautiful church in property and gardens!! Also tours through sacred valley will usually drop you off after your tour. They have to go back to Cusco anyway. More

Excellent Hotel....but location isn't the most convenient. I've also stayed at la Posada Tres Marias on calle Ziron Zavala, which I liked better. Tres Marias is a B&B right in the town center. Although facade did not make a good impression, this hotel is very roomy and comfortable. Restaurant was open at 5 AM to accommodate travelers taking the train to Machu Picchu. Hot food was served. More
