We found this hotel to be an oasis of calm and a complete surprise, hidden behind an unassuming frontage onto the main road. Our room, a corner suite, was absolutely beautiful. The only downside was the food in the restaurant, which we found did not meet the standard we expected and was over salted. More

There are two San Augustin Hotels in Urubamba, this one and the Monesterio. We had lunch at the Monesterio, and it was excellent, but didn't stay there. This hotel (non-monesterio) was quite nice for an overnight stay, with a pool which looked clean and inviting (but our suits were left behind in Cusco to await our return from Macchu Pichu).... More

Well. It's better than some. The rooms were small, uncomfortable, and ugly. We had a great room that opened to a veranda outside, nice and spacious. There is a hot tub, sauna, and steam room that looked nice and can be used for a fee (they told us they would let us use all for $10). We had an excellent massage there, better and cheaper than in the states. Nice the night... More
