I took off bus and ask local about the hostel, and found the hostel is moved to new address around plaza, next to restaurant and mayor building. (just opposite i left from the collecto) The photos in booking.com or tripadvisor.com are not updated. The room only have one light bulb and no real window, it is ok for limited budget.... More

We stayed here two nights before and after an all day trip to Machu Picchu. The location is nice (right on the plaza) and one can ask to watch movies in the main den. Katty speaks excellent English, which is helpful, however she doesn't respond readily to emails and there was need to prompt her response multiple times. There is... More

We stayed here for $25 soles per person, which we found a bargain considering we looked at KB Tambo and they were asking almost $50 USD per night (ridiculous!). The wifi did not work in the room, the toilet was missing a seat and the sink leaked, the walls were so thin we could hear our neighbor farting in the... More

We hadn’t booked a bed before arriving in the town as it was the low-season so we thought we’d just have a look around when we got there . We’d had a look on Hostelbookers before-hand and it seemed that Chaska Wali was by far the cheapest option and it had positive reviews overall. When we arrived in Ollantaytambo it... More

This hostel arouses very contradictory feelings. One one hand, the owner is pretty friendly, cats are cute, Internet's working and it's right on the main square. On the other hand, price of 25 soles per bed in a dorm seems way too high: rooms are dim, beds are pitiful, breakfast not worth mentioning (once there was almost no marmalade left,... More

$8/night. Right in center of ollantaytabmo. The owner has connects to all sorts of tours so you can get good prices and ideas. They have a nice lounge with cheap drinks and beer. They are very close to kb tours and a great restaurant if you like. Wifi availability was limited. Sometimes it worked, sometimes not, but that is all... More

This hostel is a a bargain at only 25 soles a night. Situated on the main square with good views of the town and the Inca ruins. The best thing about this place is the wonderful owner who goes out of her way to help you with information about the town but also makes you feel right at home, and... More

This hotel is right on the Plaza de Armas with proximity to buses and restaurants and shops. From their roof and the second floor you could see the ruins. The woman running the place was sort of strange in some of her comments, but was very friendly and gave us some great recommendations about places to eat and things to... More

This was the worst place we booked during our 2 and 1/2 week trip to South America. We actually couldn't stay there, and had to leave and look for another option. Despite booking, confirming, and reconfirming our booking, they didn't have our reservations when we arrived. The person who was working the desk didn't speak any English, making things more... More

Our room was clean, but the minuses were that the bathroom door didn't close, and it was very dark. Also, most significantly, the room smelled like chemicals (paint, or something). Breakfast was a little disappointing, too. However, it was pretty cheap, and the owner was really helpful, aiding us in setting up a ride to the salineras of Moray. That,... More
