We were highly disappointed. The sheets were not clean in the room. Also the private bathroom was stinking, so we had to change the hostel after 1 night. It has poor breakfast with bad coffee and jam. Also, they count breads in the breakfast which is nonsense. They have nice hot showers in the bathrooms. Hostel is located in the... More

Despite a minor snafu in the booking process, I enjoyed my stay at Kaminu. I stayed 3 nights upon arrival in Lima, and returned at the end of my month-long trip for 2 more nights before departing for my home country. Both times I requested the private double with en suite, which was comfortable and clean, if a bit noisy... More

Really relaxed place! We wanted to go to backpackers inn, but when we arrived there felt very unwelcome and moved to kaminu! That was a good decision:) breakfast is included and pretty good! There is a bbq in the weekend. Beers are a good price. Roof terrace is great. Location is amazing, very close to the sea and close to... More

Oh, dear. What can I say about this hostel? We were quite looking forward to arriving there and emailed NUMEROUS times to make sure they understood that our plane was arriving at 1 a.m. and on what day. Made a deposit to hold two private rooms. Also were assured that a taxi would be waiting for us on arrival. Well,... More

We were first drawn to Kaminu because the lonely planet said that you can camp on their roof for a cheap price. This in fact was just a promotion and no longer offered. Despite not finding the fun deal we had hoped for we were charmed by the charm and friendly staff of this excellently located hostel. They have one... More

We just had a bad run on our two day stay in Lima (even the Starbucks coffee machine broke!). We took up the hostel's offer to organize an airport transfer but no one was there to meet us when we arrived just before midnight. I called the hostel but the guy hung up when he realised that I don't speak... More

We did not enjoy staying in this hostel at all. It's expensive, dirty and noisy. One of the pillows in our room literally had a hole right through the middle of it - it begs the question how could the bed have been remade and this not been noticed? In spite of pre-booking by phone, there was somebody in our... More

Cute slogan, let me apologize to my staff for not giving the room when we understand their discomfort and demonstrated his comment a bit exaggerated, but just as respectable, answering some statements, pc could never run out of room for politics if our surprise we block other common private rooms with shared bath or private, to meet the reserve, you... First time ever in Lima, and I could not have chosen a better place to stay. The neighborhood where the hostel is located is simply awesome, bars, pubs and restaurants are very, very close. You can literally be on the beach in about 15 minutes by foot. Service is extremely awesome, very nice people...they actually make you feel at home.... More
