This was my first trip to South America, and this was my first experience ever of a hotel of any sort in South America, my travel agent in Peru advised me against booking it, but it turned out that this was only because he had guests booked in and the hotel had double booked the rooms....A pain I know but... Let me preface this by saying we stayed here after spending 5 days treking the Andes, and it was supposed to be a special, luxurious end to the trip. Our expectations were high. But we were very disappointed. First, while the public areas are fine (though certainly not as nice as they appear in the photos), the rooms are: not... More

Mansion Hotel San Antonio is a very clean, hospitable and accomodating hotel. Its owner Robert Lazarte is very accomodating. The rooms are clean. Staff is very accomodating to those with disabilities. The hotel provided timely car service between the hotel and the airport.

I stayed a couple of night at Mansion San Antonio and it was a very bad experience. There were no towels at the room and the guy of the reception, called Jose, told me there were no towels until 7 AM the day after! After an international trip all you want when you get at the hotel is have a... More

Mansion San Antonion (MSA) is a guest-house, not a hotel, so you will not find extensive on-site facilities. However, restaurants, cafes and other services are withing walking distance: MSA is in a clean and safe neighborhood of Lima and a 10-15 minute walk from Larcomar shopping centre, Costa Verde and Miraflores' bars and clubs. I found my room well-kept, except... More

My partner and I had booked this for two nights in Lima and after walking into our room we decided to leave and check into another hotel. The place smells. The sheets were filthy (dirt, skids, hair, food crumbs). The floor was dirty, everything dusty and musty. There was no cover on the bedspread and it was stained and dirty.... More

This was our first stop on our travels in Peru. Our flight from Houston, Texas didn't land in Lima until 10:30 PM. We had arranged through Mansion San Antonio for a car to pick us up at the airport. (I definitely recommend doing this - especially if your flight arrives late.) The driver was very professional and was waiting for... More

I booked this hotel based on an entry in Footprints and the hotel website which shows some smashing images of the place, but unfortunately the hotel does not live up to ths at all. The common areas are well decorated although be warned that there is student accomodation in the back and the common areas are effectively a kitchen and... More

The hotel looks fine at first sight and the public areas are OK. The roomas are bare, badly furnished and the linen was DIRTY. The bathroom ids a disgrace. The area is very residential and not close to anything much. This hotel is a abd buy and the photos must have been through photoshop as the place does not really... More

I hesitated to reserve because of contradictory reports on TripAdvisor, but now I understand that the disappointment of some visitors may be due to the false advertising as a "Boutique" hotel. Definitely go there if you want a place where being gay is normal, because of the price, and for a decent location. Do not go there if as most... More
