I stayed here as part of a Tucan tour. It is very handy for the main square, shops and restaurants. The staff were friendly and very helpful, directing me to banks and places to eat whenever I needed help. It certainly has seen better days and I am unable to comment on value for money as it was included in... more

This hotel was no doubt once the pride of Lima, in fact it was in the hotel bar that the famous Pisco Sour cocktail was invented. Now, along with much of Lima city centre it is tired and forelorn. Water was never more than lukewarm, light bulbs in the room were too dim to read by, and the buffet breakfast... more

After reading the other hotel reviews on this site I was not sure what to expect from this hotel. but found our stay here very comfortable. This hotel is in a very central location to the main attractions in Central Lima. It was clean and the rooms large with very comforable beds and a large bathroom with towels, shampoo etc.... more

The hotel is near the Plaza de Armas, but it's in a quiet side street, so it's actually a very quiet hotel, but within easy walking distance of the main square! The front desk staff varied from wonderful to downright standoff'ish depending on who was working on any given day. For the most part they were great, but there's a... more

Stayed here for a total of 3 nights: 2 nights at the start and 1 night at the end of a Tucan Travel tour around Peru. We arrived at the hotel very late after flying all day to discover a dark and rather closed looking hotel. Staff were sleeping in the lobby and it all looked quite shabby and creepy... more

The Maury was one of "the" hotels in Lima in the 30s and 40s but it is now very much a case of faded grandeur. It´s clean, but the decor is very dated, and I found the staff very unhelpful. In fact, both I and someone else who checked in at the same time were given rooms which were already... more

We stayed at the Hotel Maury for two nights before returning to the US. It was disappointing to say the least. The room was okay but breakfast was the worst we'd had in the whole trip and the staff was very unhelpful. I would definitely say to find another option. more

We stayed in Lima at The Maury Hotel for 6 days. We booked a room with A/C. When we arrived at midnight, we were given a room with a burned out air conditioning unit, and a toilet that kept running. We were told at the desk that there were no rooms with A/C. After 2 days, the temperature outside was... more

We had one night in Lima before heading to Cusco and chose the Maury because we wanted to stay in central Lima to visit the catecombs of the San Francisco church before catching our flight. The hotel was pleasant enough. There was some noise from the streets, but that made it seem all the more real -- many of the... more

This is a very average 3 star hotel. You get all the basic stuff. No AC, just a ceiling fan. You can hear a bit of noise outside the door if people walk a bit loud or talk since sound insulation isn't great, which i think is like most other 3 stars in Peru. It might only be a problem... more
