We spent 4 nights in cusco during our trip to Peru and stayed all 4 nights at the marqueses. It came highly recommended from multiple people, and maybe thats why our expectations were so high, but we found the hotel average at best. Yes, it is very well located. Yes, it has a charming courtyard and features. And yes, the... More

This is a fantastic find in Cusco. We stayed in Marqueses as we had booked an Inca trail trek with SAS travel. It is an old colonial style property with lots of stone and wood. The rooms are comfortable and unique. It is well located a few blocks away from the main plaza, so it is a little quieter and... More

Quaint hotel within 2 blocks of the Plaza de Armas. I stayed for 3 nights before my Inca Trail trek and one night after. The staff is excellent. They will store your bags for free. The laundry service is reasonable and fast. My only quibble is that like most Central and South American hotels, wifi, while free, is only available... More

We stayed at Hotel Los Marqueses for 4 nights in April 2013 before and after our Macchu Picchu hike. Some of the things to know are: - Excellent location: Hotel is well situated 2 blocks from the main Plaza de Armas and close to Plaza San Francisco. The main plaza is beautiful but very noisy and so it was nice... More

I stayed here three nights before going to Aquas Calientes and three nights afterwards. The first three nights stayed in a sort of duplex--one level had bathroom and some seating and up some stairs to two beds. The walls were thin; however, and I could hear my next door neighbors quite clearly at 3 am (3:00 24h) as they were... More

Stayed here total of 4 nights during our Cusco/Machu Picchu trip. Clean, quiet (except Sat night), great value breakfast, amazing service and lots of hot water. Was a pleasure to be back after 2 nights in expensive dirty not enough hot water places closer to Macchu Picchu. If I'm back in Cusco again I'll be staying here.

This 300 year old palace turned hotel oozes character! Rooms surround a beautiful interior courtyard. There are minor flaws, like squeaky floorboards & cranky old locks on the doors, but these are a minor price to pay for retaining the history of this amazing old building. Enjoy the decor & imagine life here in a glorious (or infamous) past! Nice... More

Me and my wife stayed here for three days before we treked the Inca trail. Its always advisable to climatise yourself before the trail and im glad we did. The hotel is a nice setting and great location. The rooms were big and clean and nice big bathrooms and hot showers. the breakfast was very nice and the waitress was... More

We stayed here the night before and after the Inca trail. SAS travel is 2 doors down so that was also convenient because we went on the SAS Inca trail tour. The rooms are clean with nice hot showers. They had coca tea for us upon arrival and a nice breakfast both times. They stowed our bags for us while... More

As soon as we arrived, we were escorted to the interior patio to sit and enjoy a cup of cocoa tea. The check-in process took place while we sat around the table. This was most welcomed as we began our acclimation to thin air. I am passionate about old buildings and this hotel did not disappoint with thick, wooden doors,... More
