Spend 3 nights before going on the inca trail. The hotel is located 20 min walk from Cusco center (or 3 soles / USD1.25 by taxi) which is convenient as cusco is a safe city. The problem is the hotel itself, as of April 2013, there are construction going on and from 8:00am on, the noise is very loud. The... More

Perhaps I was expecting more from this hotel. We arrived late (after 9pm) and we don't speak Spanish, the front desk staff is very sincere to help but still due to the language barrier, it took us a while to request him to arrange a taxi for us to the bus station the next morning. The staff understands very basic... More

From the airport: We left the Cuzco airport taxi area since the taxi drivers outside were trying to hustle us 20 soles to get to the hotel. I read other reviews and it should only be 10 soles from the airport to almost anywhere is Cuzco so that's the price I was going to pay. We hail a cab on... More

Well attended by staff, who gave me tips to enjoy my short trip to Cusco. Hotel rooms are clean, quiet place to get nice rest, and though it's located about 8 blocks from Main Square, is not really far.

This is a nice modern hotel still under construction. Nowhere on the hotels web site do they tell you there will be construction noise. And noise there is. It starts from around 7.30am and goes all day. The other issue is the location. It is a longish walk to the Plaza, and its not the cleanest area to walk from.... More

Although its not in the center ,its just a 10 minute walk to the plaza. taxis in cusco cost less than 1 euro so that shouldnt be the problem ! People who... More

This really is a gem of a hotel. Nice light, warm, clean rooms. Heating that works, plenty of hot water 24 hours, good selection of food in the breakfast buffet, friendly, helpful and efficient staff and nice comfortable beds! There is only one downside to this hotel and depending on how late you want to get up in the mornings... More

Most of the noisy building activities seems to be over, so Golden Inca is a good alternative for travelers caring for decent quality for a reasonable cost. Good breakfast, nice rooms with hot and cold water and wifi, and wonderfully comfortable beds. Satellite TV was a bit on and off . . . However, the hotel is NOT in the... More

We stayed for 4 nights with 2 rooms - a 2 room 'suite' with kitchenette and a room with 2 beds for our kids. The hotel is new and all rooms had new furnishings, linens, etc and had a fairly modern look to them. For the price, we found this to be a good buy and didn't mind the 10... More
