A charming hotel in a nice area of the town, located near by the center, which I found very pleasant, as it is a quite and peaceful place, like a oasis where you can have a good rest. The plaza de armas is only about a five minutes walk away. The owners are very friendly and helpful with everything. The... More

The website Booking says the hotel is about 500m from the Plaza de Armas, that's not true, it's about 1km and some meters, just check on Google Maps. If I knew it, I would have looked for a hotel closer to the Plaza. Positive points: Clean rooms Lovely staff Good breakfast Negative points: It's not so close to the Plaza... More

Considering the excellent reviews on Tripadvisor, we were surprised and disappointed by our stay at Posada Nueva Espana. Many reviewers commented on the lovely service, but the worst thing about this place was the service! The hotel owner, Antonio, lacks care or concern for guests and misleads them (at best) or lies to them (at worst). He put us in... More

Antonio was wonderful with help on travel tips and arrangements. Rooms are nice. Our only complaint was thatthe Wi fi is weak in the rooms and that we did not have enough hot water in the family size room down stairs. Antonio had this fixed the same day. Overly we had a great stay there and would come back again.... More

This restored colonial building is a charming, relaxing place that has it's own unique history - very much in keeping with the Spanish colonial architecture that Arequipa is famous for. The rooms are of a good standard considering the price, the staff and the family who own and run the hotel are very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Yes, the location... More

A beautiful old colonial house with a great atmosphere. We felt like being at home during our stay here, actually we really felt like being part of the family! Close to the city centre and just few meters from nice restaurants. Probably the best hotel we ever stayed...!

We are a family of four - Mum and Dad with our children aged 13 and 12. We spent 4 nights at this hotel and thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it. We had an excellent room; clean, comfortable, quiet and plenty of hot water. Breakfast on the terrace was always a great way to start the day before heading off... More

My wife and I stayed here for about a week so that we could see Arequipa and Colca Canyon. The Posada was an excellent choice. Jose met us at the airport and he and his father were great! Very thoughtful and caring people who looked after us very well. It is in an old part of town in a building... More

This hotel has style and character. It is a cute little property, although run down and in need of a facelift. The location is iffy, there are closer hotels (to the plaza) of a similar price and quality. Breakfast was pleasant and the service was great.
