Its important to note that there are several hotels/ hostels in Arequipa with the name Casa Blanca so check the address before you go! We stayed Puente Bolognesi, which is directly on the corner to the main square (plaza de armas) so it couldnt be more central. Some of the rooms have a balcony looking over to the square! The... Couldn't have been happier with our pick in Arequipa. Just off the main square we got a great room. Maybe a bit noisy by the street but that is common. Hot water, nice bathroom, comfortable beds and a nice breakfast. Not sure what more you could want for the price. More

Stayed at Costablanca on both ends of a Colca Canyon tour. The rooms are beautiful, they have a stunning rooftop courtyard, and breakfast was delicious. All of this is more than enough to give them a great review. But even better, I had a problem with getting some laundry back from a local laundry place, and I was flying out... More

After a nine hour overnight bus ride from Cuzco, we arrived at Arequipa at 7am. We arrived at the hostal and a friendly face greeted us, stored our bags, and we were off to have breakfast. When we returned to check in, the only room they had was the largest room, with four beds and a balcony facing the street.... More

My room at the Casablanca was spacious, well decorated, offered comfortable seating, good lighting and a nice bathroom. Public areas had comfortable seating and natural light. The breakfast was first rate. Staff were helpful and friendly. Hotel is a one minute walk from the main plaza. The New York Times Frugal Traveler had a piece about this hostal earlier this... More

I didn't have a reservation and this hostal was well recommended in my guidebook (Footprint) - I was given a tripple room despite travelling alone (I did get a bit of a reduction in the rate) but it was lovely to have the extra space. I really enjoyed my stay and should have stayed longer. I had room 5 which... More

This hotel has a very limited number of rooms all on one main big floor. Reservations are strongly recommended via telephone. The rooms are huge and nicely decorated. Small bathroom though. It feels like a gothic church. Big open space with internet, books and a friendly house cat. Breakfast was okay, but you pay for eggs?! For backpackers on a... More

The location, only a 1/2 block off the square, is really convenient. Our room was an immense one, with comfy bed, enormous sofa and sitting area, great bathroom. The room was a little dark, because it's in a colonial home, with the only window into the courtyard. The breakfast is served upstairs in the courtyard, a lovely sunny place. We... More

I stayed here for two months last year and could not wait to go back and visit. It is such a lovely little hotel with a perfect location and a great atmosphere. The rooms are homely and always clean and the cafe serves great food and smoothies. Definately recommend it, exceptional value for money and really friendly staff. More

Casablanca Hostal is literally just a block away from the main square (Plaza de Armas) in Arequipa, a fantastic location. As we requested, they sent a driver to pick us up from the airport. The room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was fine, but nothing to write home about. Overall, I highly recommend a stay here if you're in... More
