This hotel is as very nice and clean place with some great views from the balconies. It's just what you need after a long nightbus journey or a 4 day trek into the Colcon Canyon. The staff are friendly and very helpfull. Liaise with the staff before your arrival and they will be able to assist you in getting here. More

I have been visiting Arequipa for the first time and Casa de TIntin is outstanding as one of the most comfortable place in town. It is located in a very peaceful and elegant part of Arequipa, the building is very original and recently reformed. The owner is very friendly, she speaks fluently at least French and English and she prepares... More

This is a small hotel with about 9 or 10 rooms. My room (7) was comfortable, and reasonably quiet (the only real noise was the river which was quite pleasant). The hotel does have a homely feel with a nice sitting area downstairs, a small outdoor courtyard and a roof patio. The staff were all very friendly, although my lack... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Casa de Tintin. Anita, the owner, does everything to make you been at home. The rooms are quite attractive. (Get one with a balcony, if possible.) The common rooms are comfortable. The breakfast is excellent. All the staff speak excellent English and are extremely helpful in arranging transportation or answering questions about Arequipa.... Lovely house by the river. Managed by a super friendly family especially the mother Anita who'll make you feel very much at home in her house and her town. It's a 5+ minute walk up the hill to get to "town" and easy access to taxis and anywhere you might need to go. This means you can still pretty easily... More

While the staff is super friendly and breakfast was good, we felt our room was nothing special and did not make up for being so far from the center. It's a good 15-20 min uphill walk through a residencial neighborhood with nothing interesting to see (though not unpleasant either). During the day this is not too much of an issue... More

I spent 3 nights in Casa de Tintin in January. The hotel is located in Vallecito, a nice and quiet neighborhood at a reasonable walking distance from Plaza de Armas. The room was just lovely and had a balcony with a great view. The owner, Anita, was extremely kind and helpful, as was the rest of the staff. The hotel... More
