I really wanted to stay in an old colonial house in Cuenca, in Mansion Alcazar is a real JEWEL,
everything is just perfect, good taste, very nice garden, excellent atmosphere, very cosy bar, beautiful lights in all open space
it is very nicely located, walking distance from all nice places and restaurants in town
their staff is very nice and...

This hotel is a converted home that once belonged to someone very important. The Mansion Alcazar is the name of the hotel. When we arrived our room was filled with rose petals. Our canapé bed had two robes laid on the bed with red rose petals sprinkled over both the bed and the robes. The bathroom had rose petals on...

My daugher (18) and I (her mother 50) stayed at this hotel for three nights on a trip to South America. We loved this hotel, the personnel was very friendly and helpful; the food in the hotel was great; the rooms very clean and location within walking distance of downtown Cuenca.

Mansion Alcázar was one of the best lodging surprises I've ever had. Had a gorgeous suite on the second floor (The Sirena Suite) and an incredibly affordable price (specially if compared to the Plaza Grande Quito).
Service was top-notch. One of the employees, Manuel, was always offering to prepare us drinks and tea. Other staff member always smiling and trying...

Charming little boutique hotel with a wonderful staff and great food. The rooms are nice but not spacious and the lighting could be improved. But all in all, a wonderful little place in a great location!

When visiting Cuenca this hotel is without rival. From the greeting at the door to the creative turn-down service, the customer service is the finest. Centrally located in the heart of Old Town, this architectural gem is the comfortable place you want to reside in. The restaurant is excellent, the tea service is charming, and the garden is wonderful to...

From the moment you walk into Mansion Alcazar you are stepping back in time. It has a very Spanish/Victorian feel. This decor is carried into the guestrooms. The covered courtyard is bright and beautiful. The fountain was brimming with flowers, as was the rest of the hotel. The interior is also quite peaceful. It's hard to believe you are just...

I am a frequent traveler - and this hotel is one of the best - the best is that you do not feel you are in a hotel - you feel in you are in a luxurious house - I do not agree with one of the comments here that being above the restaurant is noisy - it is not...

We stayed 5 nights at the Mansion Alcazar. Everything was perfect except the rooms there are quite small for the price you pay. The hotel is in a great location - you are 3 or 4 blocks from the main square. 3 excellent restaurants are 3 blocks away.
The hotel, gardens, and restaurant are all beautiful. Everywhere you look is...
