Yes, the Plaza Grande is way more expensive than anywhere else you would stay in Ecuador. But the unbeatable location and great rooms with Jacuzzi make it worthwhile. Haven't tried the restaurant but there are great dining options walking distance. One of them is the Vista Hermosa, definitely recommended.
