Firstly, upon arrival late in the evening, the receptionist did not have a room for us despite a booking through hostelworld.com. Rosa, the none-too-helpful receptionist, proceeded to explain is Spanish that the hostel was full and that this was not her fault but another member of staff who was not present. After showing her the printed conformation and advising that... More

I stayed here many times during a 2.5 month visit to Ecuador as a volunteer. If you volunteer with Jatun Sacha they will give you a 20% discount to stay here. I stayed in a single room which was nice. It had a private bathroom, TV with satellite, and a comfortable bed. I had also stayed in the group room... More

We stumbled into Maple after a long stint of asking prices at different hostels in the Mariscal neighborhood. All were fairly expensive, and most had less than desireable rooms. At Maple, our two friends and we were able to get a shared room in our price range (I believe it ended up at $16 per couple, which is very affordable.... More

a good-for-its-class hostel/hotel that is friendly, if unspectacular. close to the airport, low cost, with friendly staff and a deliciously fresh breakfast. the rooms are sparse but good value. in life, you tend to get what you pay for - at posada del maple, you get a little bit more. recommended More

We arrived here after having to leave Hostel Huauki early because of noise. We were given a really bright airy room (no.5) which had an excellent shower! The room was spacious with cable tv, although not all the rooms have access to the wifi. The only problem with the room was the bed frame was incredibly noisy, so it woke... More

We're about to check out of the Posada del Maple and have really enjoyed our stay. The hostel is on a quiet street with a plethora of other hostels. It's decor is charming with ivy growing up walls, many balconies and terraces, free wifi (that we were able to access from our room), a decent breakfast, and cozy lounge areas.... More

I've stayed at a lot of hostels and this one has the most "character." It is charming with indoor/outdoor areas, patios, vines, lots of sunlight, etc. The breakfast in the morning is very nice and the best free breakfast I've ever had while traveling. The 1 internet terminal is usually occupied (especially if there is a group of traveling students... More

This is my second time in Quito, and would recommend this hostel for new travelers to the city. It is located in a safe part of Mariscal, and it is easy to catch a cab to other parts of the city. The hostel is very charming and clean, and offers a very nice included breakfast. The showers are always hot... More

Stayed for two nights. Staff were really helpful. Breakfast is great with REAL coffee (means alot to me). In a lively and heavily policed area with lots of good places to eat. Theres a artisan market nearby which is very touristy but has some nice things if you are buying presents. Free internet and cosy rooms. Nothing amazing but good,... More

This Hostel is really nice and I recommend. Breakfast is included in the price. The cost is about 30.00 a night for 3. I stayed at Maples with my 15yr old daughter and her father. The room was simple yet clean. I was worried I'd be cold but found that their blankets keep me warm. There was hot water at... More
