My son and I recently spent 5 nights on 3 separate occasions at Hostal la Ronda during our 3 week trip to Ecuador. We also used their transportation services and did several day tours with them. We wanted to stay in a small family run location in Old Town and have the chance to spend time with our hosts. Hostal... More

I stayed here in march/april 2010. This hostal is located in the old part of Quito. A good and pretty safe location to stay. The rooms are quite big and extremely clean. The beds are good. You get a lot for the price you pay. The food is great. The building is beautiful. And the owners are nice people. I... More

We stayed in Room 1 in late June for two nights. It was EXTREMELY noisy. We are pretty seasoned travelers and always carry earplugs, but our high-decibel earplugs simply didn't work. The problem is that the street is very noisy (think loud music and people shouting) until the wee hours and the restaurant in the courtyard goes until after midnight... More

I stayed at the hostal a total of 7 nights. 5 nights in room 1 which I recommend highly. Room 1 has a balcony and a view of panecillo. I also stayed in room 3 and room 5. These rooms lack the excellent view but are spacious and comfortable. The one thing that is different is the shower in these... More

Family-run B&B in a traditional 17th century colonial courtyard home. Extremely clean accomodations in the Old City. Walk to wonderful retaurants and even the Presidential Palace. The police presence in the neighborhood makes it very safe day or night. Kennia or Andres speak English and can provide guide service for the city (highly recommended) as well as excursions and tourist... More

Other reviewers have complained about the noise, but it REALLY is noisy. We stayed two nights as a family of four on April 5 and 7, 2012. The first night was in Room 1. It had a great balcony with great views and the space was nice with three beds and hot water in the shower. The problem was the... More

This small family run hostal is located in a traditional courtyard house, on a lovely colonial street. The house has been renovate, rooms have nice furnishings, hardwood floors and very nice clean bathrooms with showers..The owners are very friendly and helpful. This family run hostal in the heart of the Old Town of Quito was perfect for our needs. Hernan was there to collect us from the airport each time, provided us with a great tour to the Middle of the Earth etc and arranged for his daughter to take us for a fabulous tour to Mindo. (A must do!) We... More

For us, Hernan and Gloria are the face of Ecuador. Hernan took us around Quito, to Banos (overnight), and to Mindo. We also spent a day to Otavalo with daughter Kenya and Andres. We were treated with the greatest kindness and respect by all. Hernan patiently took us three times up the mountain to view Tungurahua, an active volcano. Although... More
