The family who run this small Hostal are certainly great hosts. They have been known to meet guests hours and hours late in the middle of the night and to greet you with a smile, which can hard to muster at 3AM. The rooms here are basic and some a bit tired, but very clean and certainly a good value.... More

we spent there 5 nights in totla in our 25 days of travel in Ecuador and had absolutely amazing time. For ttat value of 10 dollars per night per person with breakfast, it was great. Rooms were vey comfortable, bit basic, but really clean hot showers were working all the time we used them and the staff spoke little bit... More

This was a repeat visit to the Travellers Inn in Quito. The difference was - our AA-Flight Miami-Quito, after some circling, two attempts to actually land ~ was diverted to Guayaquil where we re-fueled and after some discussion between the Powers-to-be and the weather gods, it was decided to fly back and make another attempt at landing in Quito which... We stayed here for one night before heading to the Galapagos Islands. They were able to organize a lovely tour for us to the "middle of the world" museum, "middle of the world" park, and to the mouth of an inactive volcano where people now live...there was a lot of fog the day we went, so we couldn't actually see... I wasn't expecting much because of the low rates. I was pleasantly surprised in that Travellers Inn is well run and very clean. The complimentary breakfast was a bonus. Just a great way to start out the day. It's not in the best part of town, but it is convenient to walk just about anywhere. More

Stayed one night. Everyone was very nice, but the experience was a bit dodgy for me. Traveling alone. I had a tiny room for one with what must have been a kid's bed and a private bathroom. The layout of the place is peculiar. My bathroom had a frosted glass window that looked into a neighboring room, so when people... More

From the moment we made reservations they were always on top of things. They sent us an email before our trip to confirm our reservation and to offer us some of their other services such as Spanish lessons and tour arrangements. We took a tour with them that includes the middle of the world monument, the Intiñan museum and the... More

Nice colonial house close to the modern restaurant district but far from the old town. Spacious and clean rooms. Very good breakfast. Free bananas all day long :) and happy hour beers to buy at night. Wifi OK. We stayed in several different rooms on different floors. The rooms in the basement are cold so better try to get a... Diego and Daniel were both very kind to us. We arrived super late without bags. Daniel waited for us at the airport while we did a little song and dance for AA to get our bags. Almost 3 days later without them they got on the phone to some friends who worked with AA and got our bags that night!.... More
