We recently stayed four nights at the Vineyard Inn and would recommend it to anyone going to Valparaiso. The rooms are spacious and modern with terrific views over the city. The staff are unfailingly friendly and helpful. The best restaurant in Valparaiso is right next door. Only a few minutes walk to downtown. What else could you need? Geoff. Nice More

I arrived on Christmas day and found the hotel very comfortable with lovely outdoor places to sit and read, use the wi-fi and plan my month in Chile. It is in the centre of the open air museum of graffiti art work. It easy to walk into the centre of Valparaiso, catch the metro and take in all of the... More

My husband and I were travelling in Chile and stumbled into this hotel. It's something special... charming, quirky and a wonderful place to visit and stay. The lobby is airy and artsy in a sophisticated way - lots of glass, wood, metal and angles...and interesting artifacts. The rooms are spacious, with hand-knotted kilim rugs and (in our room, anyway) a... More

We checked in on the 30th of December at 10:30 pm- thankfully before the masses began to arrive for the world famous New Years fireworks. Parked right infront of the hotel on the street with the help of Jorge the owner....very nice guy who was waiting for us at the front door! The decor is very interesting and cool. Staff... More

This is a strange hotel where we stayed for 2 nights. The public rooms are fine with interesting decor and features. The location isn't bad and is only about 10 minutes walk from Neruda's house "La Sebastiana". There are also two very good restaurants nearby. However, the people running the place (not local Chileans) have few social skills. The owner was... More

We really enjoyed our stay here and the staff was top notch. The town house rooms were a fascinating design and having two decks (one with a sitting area) really allowed one to take in the great views. The design had some flaws. The bathrooms are on a separate floor from the bedroom and the steep metal stairs were difficult... More

Thank you so much for your review. We are so pleased that you enjoyed the great views, location, and the "top notch" staff. We are so happy that you had a great overall experience, and would stay again. Your comment about the noise from the staircase adjoining the first townhouse is appreciated and well taken. Our guests should expect to... More

I visited the Valparaiso Vineyard Inn in October, 2011 and stayed in one of its "townhouse suites". "Townhouse" means that the ensuite bathroom is upstairs. Access to a small upstairs deck is through a breezeway with a couch, sufficing for a "sitting area", thus the notion of a "suite". There was not a comfortable sitting area in the suite. The... More

We very much appreciate the reviewer's compliment about the building's structure, the innovative and healthy breakfasts, and the lobby and common areas. We are always open and anxious for legitimate criticism and suggestions, and will take them seriously and strive to improve in any and all ways possible However, in this instance, fairness impels us to provide those who rely on... My wife and I spent a few days at the Valpo Vineyard Inn as we trekked around Chile and Argentina on our honeymoon. Our time in and around Valpo was the best of our trip, in no small part because of this inn and its wonderful staff. The inn is situated on a safe, quiet street above the busy downtown... More

The hotel is edgy -- we had a room with a fabulous view of the city and harbor, and were close to Pablo Neruda's house. Odd archtectural quirks which add to the interest -- but this is not for anyone with trouble walking or climbing stairs. The staff was great and clearly thought they lived in a fantastic city (they... More

The staff of the hotel is so pleased that this reviewer found them to be helpful and enthusiastic. The great pleasure of our business is to make our guests happy, so this type of compliment is so much appreciated and rewarding. We are informed and believe that none of the boutique hotels in Valparaiso have elevators, so stairs are a... More
