I guess you get what you pay for. At 90 USD pr night what you get in Santiago is a room with a nice new bathroom and aircondition, but not much else. A bit worn down, and the breakfast is well below par, even for a cheap place. Light or dark bread, some fruit, and some eggs, and that's about... More

I traveled in South America: Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay and Chile. At hotels, the 4 stars are well below European levels. Another general problem: very poor internet connection. Watch your pockets in the street. The hotel was modest, with inconfortable rooms. A bad breakfast. A good position for travel.

Overall: we recommend this hotel if you are only staying for a couple of days and don't plan on doing much sleeping/spending time in your room. CONS: Despite the great location, we found the room somewhat disappointing. The room was incredibly small and dark with dated decor and didn't offer anything 'extra' for it's price bracket. Our room was located... More

This Hotel has such a perfect location. A small mall just next door, few steps from the subway...there is also a small shop that sells many stuff like chocolate, water, cooks, etc... The bathrooms could be more modern...

We arrived early with a problem withreservations at the Los Andes suites hotel. The doorman, desk clerks and even the manager became involved in sorting out the issue. Expedia booked reservations that Los Andes suites would not honor. Hotel Diego de Velazquez got us beautiful suites in their apartment hotel called Andes suites stating that this mix up occurs too... The Trips were actually back in the late 90's. I had 3 business trips to Santiago and stayed at this hotel every time. Small in footprint, but rooms were spacious and comfortable. The people were courtious and helpful with information on where to go in the city. It is an older hotel, but has a lot of character. A very... More

This hotel has regular rooms or you can request apartments that have a living room and two or three bedrooms and their own bathrooms. Very clean and friendly. They speak english and it is right in the heart of a nice area of Santiago. Highly recommended for the price.

Located in a semi-business area, with quite a few restaurants and fast-food outlets nearby. Good access to metro and buses. The rooms are clean, well-serviced and of a reasonable size. The breakfast has a good selection of cereals, meats, fruit, etc. The staff are friendly but not particularly competent in English (true generally in Chile). Computer room with free internet... More

I liked that hotel. It is very well located almost on Providencia ave. We had a small room but it was clean. The decor is indeed old and needs a major renovation but overall, the experience was very nice. Also there's a small shopping center in front of it, and shop are within walking distance. There even is a store... More

This hotel does have a good location as you walk only 2 minutes to get the subway, 5 minutes to visit the 2 large department stores nearby or 1 to 10 minutes to eat at good restaurants. The room has a queen-size bed but it does look old. It also has a small tub from the last century. I liked... More
