This was another latin hotel that was in tired condition and remodeling would have made it more elegant. The front entrance was not welcoming as it was on a busy street with graffiti on the walls. The room decor needed updating and the lobby had wornout carpets. My room, however, was not facing the street so I slept well without... More

I will start by saying that the hotel staff and front desk were friendly and the hotel is in a great location in downtown Santiago...a close walking distance to many sites and places to eat. The rooms, bathrooms, and everything in between were less desirable. Everything is extremely outdated. The rooms were a decent size but very old and simple... More

The hotel is located on the main road (0'Higgins) in downtown Santiago giving the hotel an excellent location from which to walk to all the main sights of the city eg Plaza de Armas, museums. The frontage of the building is an old house with most the hotel consisting of a newish building. The lifts are rather slow. The rooms... More

It's not a four star hotel. It's even doesn't has a service room. The location is ok but, if you really want to enjoy the hotel, it's not the best option. The frigobar was empty. There's too much tourist too, so it's noisy hotel. More

Reviews for this Hotel are a bit mixed and i do not undestand. The location is perfect. Next to the Presidential Palace. 4 blocks from Santiagos answer to Barcelonas "Rambles" and at the bottom of this pedestrianised street the main Square and fantastic shops. The fish market and the old railway station are still walkable. The staff in the hotel... More

We stayed at this hotel for one night prior to a cruise. The hotel is located in the heart of downtown Santiago and is convenient to the various tourist sites in the town. The rooms are average but clean and adequate. It would not be a hotel we would stay in for the experience but is certainly all right for... More

The Diego de Almagro Downtown has 4 stars, but looks more like a 3 stars. The room we were in (nr. 703) was very small, the bed was size was between a single and a queen size. the room was in need of a good renovation, while the bathroom was new, but very small. the window, overlooking the noisy courtyard... We stayed at the Diego del Almagro and it is certainly convieniently located. It's right near la moeda metro stop, not far from the Plaza del Armas. Parking is free and easy, although I don't recommend renting a car in Santiago (we had a friend from the outskirts of town come in and stay with us). The only negative, and... More

I went to Santiago on a business trip, so my company put me in another hotel named, Atton de las Condes. However, since it was out in suburbia, once my work was all done, I decided to move to Diego de Almagro. I booked the hotel at the last minute and my rate was the normal rate; I couldn't get... More

While the rooms were just ok, the location more than made up for it. We were right on the main street of Santiago with the Presidential Palace only two or three blocks away. All other sites of interest were also within walking distance, being no more than 30 minutes at most. The staff was generaly helpful and English was good... More
