The hotel was in a great location (across the street from the subway) and the staff was helpful. The rooms were not the nicest and the breakfast was pretty basic, but we were happy with our choice.

The rooms smell like smoke, are dirty and dark. The wi-fi isn´t very good. Not recommended.

Last March I booked an apartment at RQ Bosque Tobalaba in Santiago. The location was optimal, given that I needed to use the subway constantly and the stop is a few meters away. I would agree that it's somewhat pricey, but this was mainly because I was on my own. An apartment like that could easily hold five persons.

Like: nice location, nice neighborhood, nearby the subway, nearby a supermarket (remember this is an apart hotel).
Did not like: Too old, pricey (perhaps because of the location), poor breakfast. It was summer, so not having air conditioning (our room had a small fan only) might be a problem for those not used to relatively high temperatures.
