The Saff is where I stay when I want a no frills hotel but don't quite want to stoop to Hotel 81 standards. Run by the same people that operate The Scarlet Hotel, The Saff pretty much uses the same formula of providing relatively low-cost stays but with a nice overall experience. It's well maintained, clean, new, somewhat stylish and... More

The room is very small but clean n seems to be newly renovated. It is a pity that the room I stayed in does not hv a window. The location is great. U can find good food around the area n the hawker center is just 5min walk away. Also short walking distance to Outram n Chinatown train stations.

The Saff Hotel is nearby Chinatown and you can walk, using Neil Rd, to all the main attraction of old Singapore. It has an excellent location because it is between two MRT stations, and there are hundreds of restaurants, shops, and bars to chose from. In fact, right next door to the hotel you find the bar HOOD, the restaurant... More

Great for value and central. Clean rooms but small. Comfortable bed and pillows. Must ask for a window, when you book!

Very nice hotel. Room quite small. Bathroom small but nice. Didn't like the fixed shutter bathroom door because it doesn't give you too much privacy. The staff was not overly friendly but if you ask for help they are willing to help you anytime. They seemed too busy to even say hi to you when you come in or bye... More

We stayed here for one night in November, booked on agoda for US$150 net. It is a unique boutique hotel in Chinatown, painted colourfully throughout. The bathrooms were very small but clean, the rooms were also small but beds were comfortable. We had a window but kept the curtains closed due to the noise. There was a bar playing live... More

We really liked staying here. Despite the rumours about the noise we found this a really quiet place. we had a room with a very small window but the place itself was really special and for the price I doubt you'd find better in Singapore. room size was pretty good for Singapore standards and while far from chepit was cheaper... We actually stay in this hotel for only 6 hours. We arrived at 2:30am in the morning, checked out at 8:30am. Still, SAFF impressed me a lot. The style of the hotel is full of Asian feature, especially the color. There is not too much service indeed but we, as a couple, can serve ourselves quite well. The room is... More

I got this room for about US$120 net, and considering how expensive hotels in Singapore have become, this place is good value for money. The best thing about this place as every other reviewer notes is the location - next to Chinatown, close to every place you'd want to go in Singapore inc Clarke Quay and Boat Quay area. Rooms... Recently I've been spending a lot of time in Singapore and have been disappointed at the falling standards (and rising prices!) of many of the local hotels - Gallery Hotel please take note. On a whim I tried the Saff and was pleasantly surprised. On the negative side the top floor rooms don't have windows and the hotel doesn't serve... More
