Fantastic hotel in a great location! Excellent staff & everything was immaculately clean. The pool is amazing & open until 10.00 pm👍 Room was a decent size & very comfortable. Clarke Quay MRT station is right next door via escalator- the Singapore train system is so cheap & easy to use. I’d definitely stay here again if I even come back to Singapore.

We’ve just left this hotel and our experience has been more than excellent ! The position is fantastic. In the area you can really find all what you need. All the staff is kind and professional. The room are very clean and comfortable. Pool is really a calm and relaxing place. At Crossroads Bar you can taste very good cocktails. And if you had chance to eat at internal restaurant asking suggestions to Ramesh and Adrian you’ll have great suggestion with wonderful smile. Congratulations ! To return for sure !

I am disappointed with the hotel. Check in was fine. We had booked two rooms. Both on the same floor but not near each other at all, which was disappointing. The rooms were nice enough but if you looked closely, there is wear and tear. The corridors were shabby too. The reception area didn't have much sitting area. There is no atmosphere or a great vibe at in reception area. Apart from the standard vegetarian breakfast options, there wasn't a great choice for vegetarians. Considering the fish and meat options were varied and vast. I couldn't have any of the noodles or local cuisine. When I asked at the Asian stand what can I have, I was told nothing and I was directed to the breads, fruits and yogurts. The hotel is in a great location. Everything is close and accessible. The tea and coffee facilities in the room were good. There is a iron and ironing board. The bed was comfy. The AC worked well.

Enjoyed the food at Ellenborough Market. Buffet spread was decent and the flavour's amazing, especially the peranakan cuisine. Great selection of desserts as well, amazed by the cakes and pastry selection. Great job to Ramesh and team for being attentive and clearing the empty plates quickly.

Compelled to submit a review as greatly disappointed. After checking in to my room was bit surprised to see how small and dimly lit it was, and facing the side wall of the next building! The last time I stayed here my room was twice the size. The receptionist was very sweet and tried to help (said she spoke to her manager) shift me to another room. Said there were no better rooms available due to them booked up by Taylor Swift's concert run in Singapore this week! My last hotel (Voco Singapore) also quoted Swift's island presence causing a massive occupancy. But even then the Voco allowed me to check in at 10am and also upgraded me to their club floor where the room was twice the Paradox's room.I've probably stayed at the Paradox a total of 6 times now (in past 6 years sans 2 years during CV19). As a repeat guest you think the hotel will go out of its way to look after you - even if it means a room upgrade (just a 2 nite-stay). Most hotel groups like to go the extra mile to take care of its guests and forgo making a few extra bucks. This hotel is sadly not one of them. Will recommend to my corporate partners to go with another hotel next time.

Executive room and lounge sadly a let down. Room was dusty, just a bed, and large desk. No where to sit and very boring. Lounge felt like a restaurant. Not vey conducive for chatting with other guests. Good although tasty felt like we were going into someone’s kitchen. Pool grouting very dirty. Sorry but we won’t return.

We had three issues with this hotel. In my view all issues were dealt with poorly and one of them was a potentially serious safety concern. The significant issue was the water in our shower would very rapidly surge from temperate to scalding in moments. This resulted in my sister and I both coming perilously close to being burnt multiple times. I genuinely believe this was a safety risk, while we were able to do the 'shower tango' to avoid being burnt, less agile/older or much younger guests may have been injured. While I raised this via email the very first morning (and the second and third) the issue was not fixed until our final evening - I do not think this was good enough. Immediately upon the issue being raised the hotel should have sent maintenance to fix the issue rather than waiting four nights. Further, the first time I wrote about the issue the response did not reference the same and appeared automated. The second issue of concern was when we had two wines each at the riverside bar (so four in total) and we believe an employee, Vasu, intentionally tried to overcharge us. The drinks were ordered between about 7pm and 7:40pm (during Happy Hour). At 8:15pm I went to pay. Vasu refused to charge the drinks to our room or to split the bill in two (mildly annoying but alone not something I would complain about if this was the only issue). However, I am of the view he then tried to deliberately overcharge us, potentially with a view to pocketing the difference. I say this as: 1) he simply told us a price and presented the tap and go reader 2) he did not show me the price on that reader (and appeared to be holding the price away from me). Nor was I presented a printed bill. 3) The price he attempted to charge me was exactly $30 more than the actual bill ($87.12 rather than $57.12). When I challenged him about the bill a very poor excuse of ‘it is not happy hour now’ was provided. This is clearly a ridiculous statement, nowhere else have I ever been charged the 'non-happy hour' prices for drinks ordered and consumed during happy hour and paid for minutes afterwards. After some theatrics about 'don't worry about it', he printed a bill for the correct amount which I carefully checked before paying. My instinct is that he would have 'refunded' the over charge in cash and pocketed that $30 had I not noticed. To me the coincidence is too much for there to be another explanation. The 8 is immediately above the 5 on the keypad providing a convenient excuse for a 'mistake' if apprehended. Further, the non-happy hour prices of $17 per wine would have been $80.92 rather than the $87.12 attempted to be charged so it was clearly not the case the drinks had accidentally been charged incorrectly. Following this incident I wrote to the hotel, to date no acknowledgement of my concern has been made (despite receiving correspondence about the hot water issue). Naturally I stopped consuming drinks at the hotel following this and went to other establishments. The third issue was not that significant, rather a mild frustration. I wrote to the hotel the morning we were arriving. Our arrival was just before midnight. I wrote to request firm pillows in the room and extra towels. A response was received that they would be in the room. They were not and we needed to contact housekeeping upon our arrival. While the items were then provided promptly, it is a poor look for a hotel to write to a customer confirming items will be in the room and not follow through. I would have preferred the response simply ask me to request the items on arrival rather than making a promise that was not met. I have stayed at this hotel before under the previous name. The location is lovely and the hotel is only a couple of MRT stops from multiple interchanges. The atmosphere along the river is also nice and (apart from when Vasu tried to overcharge us) we enjoyed our time sitting along here. The bedding was comfortable and the room while a little worn was very clean. The filtered water tap is an excellent feature. Would I stay again? Maybe for the location but given the lack of appropriate response to the two more significant issues I raised (the scalding water and attempted deception by a staff member) I would likely look elsewhere first.

We stayed here on our way to New Zealand. It's an excellent hotel. centrally located, by the river with plenty of restaurants of all types nearby. The room was spacious and comfortable with everything that was needed. The breakfast was varied and of high quality. The pool area was clean and comfortable and was a lovely place to relax after a day of sightseeing. i wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

My partner and I so enjoyed our 3 night stay here. The staff went above and beyond from the reception staff to cleaning staff and door staff gave excellent service. My partner's travelling with her medication, which requires keeping at a temperature between 2C - 8C, which requires the gel packs to be put in a freezer for 15 hours, this was no problem the meds went into their fridge and the gel packs into their freezer both items tagged. This made both of us feel very relaxed that the meds were in safe hands. Thank you, reception team!! We both loved this hotel. Ps Jo had a great 75-minute facial in the hotel Spa 😉
