Only stayed for 2 nights but had no problems with a 23:55 late check in using their self key pickup. You then register and pay the next morning. Breakfast was an added bonus I wasn't expecting, simple toast and spreads and cereals but more than adequate. Free tea and coffee all day and 2 internet computers as well as free... More

I came across Five Stones as part of my hobby in having spontaneous trip, simply to try something new. I came during Asian Food Expo, hence many hotels with reasonable rates are fully book. Thanks for TripAdvisor for all the reviews and hints, makes my last minute decision to stay at Five Stone is a good one. Five Stones is... More

Five Stones is not only well located, run, clean and organized, but also their staff is extremely helpful and friendly. Just 2 blocks away, 5-10 min walk to Clark Quay, mixed sex rooms, however very organized and family ambiance. Boys shower area on the first floor, girls' on the second floor, bathrooms on both floors. You can check out of... More

We stayed 2 nights in this hostel and would definitely stay again! You couldn't ask for a better location and the staff were so helpful!!! Bedrooms were today, as were the bathrooms. if you are staying in one of the double rooms, the washing machine and dryer are right outside your door. However, free ear plugs are available from reception... More

Here is higher than my expectation! I thought it would be not so that good as others told! The bed and shower room is clean and the stuffs are helpful! Only your sleep quality is depends on your roommate, but noting to blame the hostel! Overall, it's much better than I thought! :)

We stayed 3 nights at Five Stones and it was surprisingly one of the best hostels I have stayed in. A stone's throw away from nightlife, food and Chinatown. We also met some interesting friends and had dinner and drinks with them. Highly recommended for its location and interesting concept.

My friend and I stayed at FSH for 4 nights. It was my first time staying in a hostel and it was a great experience. We stayed in the female only dorm. It's conveniently located across from the women's shower room but the bathroom area is co-Ed. The beds are brand new and comfortable except they are a little squeaky.... More

Hi Allykat, thanks for the detailed review! :D always great to hear specifics from our guests :) Our no shoes policy is really to help prevent smelly socks/feet in the rooms for our guests, it may get unbearable due to the hot and humid climate in Singapore, so hope you understand a bit better with this explanation. :) We still... Singapore is an expensive city, and this hostel offers a great price for what you get. We walked everywhere from the hostel and rarely took the MRT. Loved the common area to relax, staff were very friendly and helpful and the rooms were very clean. The bed was comfortable but was squeeky. My only nitpick is small, but they have... More

Hi Winnipeg, thanks for the thumbsup! Great you had a relaxing and comfortable stay. Sorry our no shoe policy caused some inconvenience, it's our way of keeping the environment clean and free of smelly socks for everyone, but we do allow personal flip flops that are worn only within the hostel. Nevertheless, we hope to host you again the next... More
