First, make sure you have a direct flight. Flying into Puerto Princesa invites a 4 1/2 hour long cramped trip to Taytay port where Apulit staff will meet you. Now you'll be on a 30-40 min boat ride to the actual island. Here you'll be greeted by a group of the staff dancing and singing to the beat of guitar,... More

We liked - The stuff that is friendly - Rooms / water cottages. Smaller cottages are detached / isolated bungalows of one level and are designed for two persons, larger (de luxe) are semidetached bungalows ( the large water cottage is divided by two) of two levels and are designed for four persons (there are two separate beds on the... We decided to break our trip from Puerto Princesa to El Nido with two nights at Apulit Island, catching the shuttle boat out to the island at Taytay. On arrival we were greeted by staff performing a welcoming ceremony and then escorted to our room located on the east side of the main Dining and Bar areas. This was fortunate... More

Rooms comfortable, Good food and great service. Better than Miniloc where we stayed immediatly prior to this stay ... . if get room on pier side. AC went out one late night ... took two hours but they did fix in in middle of night. Do not miss three spotted morays at end of pier, Saw lots of neat stuff... More

In February, my wife and I traveled from Texas to the Philippines just to stay at Apulit Island Resort. This is off the typical beaten path for Americans; however, you will not be disappointed, and will absolutely fall in love with the tranquility and seclusion. While getting there was an adventure (makes the trip more fun!), once we arrived in... More

its a very good place, very hospitable/welcoming environment with dancing and singing staff. Very good food, but not a very good bartender. the place is still developing when we came here for our trip. but then they said that its already owned by Ayala, so we are expecting something more. its a boring place if your not doing any activity.... We thoroughly enjoyed our two weeks experience on Apulit island, from the friendly welcome to the tearful farewell. No need to bring swimming equipment as you can borrow everything for your entire stay - life vests, masks, snorkel and fins are all provided. During snorkelling or any other ocean activity we were always assisted by the Activity Staff led by... More

I had just stayed at it's sister property Miniloc Resort, which I liked better. I stayed at Apulit for 3 nights and found they have some noise issues with their generators or where they house their machinery. It was so loud on the hillside that I could hear it in my room with the windows closed. It spoils the feeling... More

Excellent location on it's own Limestone Island with lagoon with mirror-flat water, soft sand beach. Sunsets were incredible (only Boracay had better). All the rooms are over the water with the smooth bay in-front, looking to the south-west and shear limestone cliffs behind you. All the cottages are very private and except for kayakers there is no way to see... More

My partner, sister and I stayed in a Deluxe Water Cottage for 3 nights, we were on the top floor with my sister staying on the bottom floor. The room was very nice with a great view from our windows and balcony. It rained on our first full day at Apulit which was a bit disappointing, but snorkeling and sea... More
