I can't really complain about the Ministry of Coffee (except for the name): good aircon, hot water, clean room with flat screen tv and all international channels, wifi, good breakfast with great coffee, very friendly staff. I was there for two nights for work, and it had everything I needed. Its weakness is its completely bland modern style could be... More

We stayed at the Ministry of Coffee for five nights while touring Jogya. While the rooms are somewhat small and dated, they are very clean, and staff extremely attentive. The room size really wasn't an issue as we spent most of our time in the Common area on the main floor. The breakfast was quite adequate and we looked forward... More

We stayed 2 nights in MoC (standard room). The rooms are really tiny and hot - the aircon is not working efficiently. The decoration is quite poor and above all things, beds are not comfortable and the hotel is very noisy. But the breakfast is very good, they serve excellent coffee and pancakes, and the price is correct. So I... More

Rooms are lovely, after the bustle of the Jakarta motels, Min of Coffee was a refreshing, clean and just nice change! Our room had a little balcony which faced the inside. It was great for taking the night / morning air, and a good for a read. Shampoo and soap was provided, toilets were clean. Our rooms were carefully cleaned... More

It is a small cozy place... good place to kill time in hot slow Yogya. Service is slow (but again it is cultural). Wish that they were a bit more warm tho. Price is certainly over price to me for coffe and others in the menu. I stick with Via Via Cafee not far from this place.

We stayed here while we visited Jokja and really enjoyed it. I think we were here for about 3 nights total and its in a great location. There provide a great breakfast every morning, free wifi, there's a tv in each room (nothing in english though) and there is a nice spa across the street. The nicest thing was our... More

Very nice and cosy atmosphere. We usually would have a meal at viavia and then head to Ministry of Coffee for one of their delicious coffee or shake, along with a sweet dessert. It was a very welcoming atmosphere, encouraging us to stay for sometimes 2 hours reading and enjoying it !

This is a nice & quiet place, but you better avoid the downstairs rooms that are dark , a bit mushy and more expensive. Upstairs you get a sunny balcony and also a room safe and you pay less too! The bathroom lights are like in a vault - that definitely needs to be changed! There´s WiFi and a PC... More

We turned up after booking months in advance after reading all the good things people have said in here. We arrived to a luke warm welcome and paid a one night deposit. When shown to our 'deluxe' Java room it was incredibly damp and unventilated, and tiny. Quite literally it stank. They had internet (which took some time for them... More
