smack in the middle of the action at jalan jaksa...within walking distance of gambir railway station...sarinah and jalan thamrin is nearby too the hotel itself has seen better times, but all in all it's ok value for money I paid 240.000 rp for a room with ac, tv, hot shower, simple breakfast

Great price at $30/ night given the good location and generally expensive Jakarta hotels. But the tiny, old room with crappy bathroom was too much for us to bear and we left after one night. Would be fine for a backpacker

Althought centrally located the hotel is quite expensive when it comes to price/value ratio. For nearly 300 thousand rupiah you get a smallish air-conditioned room with a bathroom en-suite. The Margot is one of the few midrange hotels in the Jalan Jaksa area and would be reasonable value for money if you could actually get any sleep!
