From other experiences on this journey this hotel was a pleasant surprise. Rooms great ..plenty of room, whole establishment clean & tidy. Breakfast very good, good WiFi. Easy walk to most of what one would want to see in Lhasa (Potala Palace, Jokhange etc) . Staff friendly and helpful. More

We stayed here for about a week in June 2011. The location is not far from the Barkhor and Potala and the hotel is clean, with friendly staff. The food is excellent, although with tour groups a constant every day service can get a little slow when they are stretched. There is a courtyard garden where you can sit and... More

We stayed for three nights in this hotel. Very good, clean and close to central Lhasa - about 10 minutes walk to Jokhang temple and Barkhor Square, about 20 minutes to Potala Palace. More

I don't travel to places like Tibet & then stay in Hyatts ... so if you're expecting "excellent" by US standards, stay home. I say this b/c this hotel was really quite wonderful, but I had the misfortune of running into a very Ugly American woman in the restaurant. She was loudly, rudely, obnoxiously complaining that the lights were too... More

We were originally booked at another hotel. Our guide had changed us to the Kyichu without our knowledge. At first I was upset, but I quickly found myself happy with the switch. The hotel is in a great location for most of the attractions in Lhasa. It is on a main road so ask for a room in the back... More

As a budget backpacker, I normally do not stay in hotels, preferring instead to stay in locals' homes and hostels. However, my travel companions (two "high maintenance" females) wanted to stay in more upscale establishments. So I grudgingly agreed to try out this hotel. I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel's offerings, given its budget class rating. Its location is... More

Cons: --Noisy... More

This hotel is located on the Beijing main street, which is very convenient. The room is quite good for an old hotel, and it has a little garden on the back. If your room is in the back area, be prepare to walk up the stairs as there's no lift. This quite a challenge in the first day of your... More

I stayed there for two nights, then I had to leave because my friend could not stand the altitude and unlickly we have had to leave immediately. The hotel is not a 5 star (not even a 4) but it is one of those places that has some magic. The location is very convinient (easy to reach everithing) and the... More

Excellent value for money- good location, nice garden to relax after daily activites. Good rooms. Most of staff speak English, what seems to be difficult in Tibet. More
