Perfectly adequate for staying in the capital city, clean, comfortable, good choice of breakfast, but poor links to public transport. Close to the Temple of Heaven and about 30 mins walk to the Pearl Market (great for those souveniers!). £15 for a taxi to the airport.

The location is fine as long as the only sight you want to visit is the Temple of Heaven, which is about 15 minutes walk away. To get anywhere else, the nearest metro station is 30 minutes walk away. Beijing is vast but this hotel was quite cosy. Breakfast was the only meal we had there and there was enough choice to ensure you wouldn't go hungry. Beds absolutely rock hard, as in all the hotels we used on this trip.

A good hotel, but avoid the executive rooms on the smoky top floor - there is a haze evident when stepping off the elevator and the air on that entire floor may constitute a pack-a-day habit. This unrated hotel would merit 3 stars (on a China scale). Near the Temple of Heaven, but not anything else, including public transportation. Tour groups stay here (probably because it has parking). The front desk will discount the rack rate for walk-ups. (Not a particularly good value w/o the discount.)
