There are several complaints I have about this hotel. Some of them are picky but the first one is our hall smelled like fumes from remodeling and our bathroom constantly smelled like mildew while our traveling partners bathroom smelt like sulfur. Not sure what the issue was there. The wifi in the rooms never worked, they won't let you bring... More

April 2013, I spent 6 nights at the Capital Hotel Beijing having booked through Travelocity. I arrived late at 8 PM and not being familiar to Beijing, the airport tourist booth had a private limousine taxi me to the hotel which was about 45 minutes south of airport. I found out later that a taxi would have cost about 1/2... More

The hotel is showing its age...... Desk service is not good at all and twice I had to make trips to the deck after nothing happened with a phone call. They are starting to renovate. Breakfast is average with a not responsive staff to coffee and such. It is a nice place but not a super place.

we booked into this hotel last minute and even though it cost a lot, it really was luxury. a huge room with fluffy robes and a lovely view of the city. a full gym and swimming pool to and beautiful decor. I still dream of this place!

We loved this hotel, specially because the service is great. I traveled with my family to Asia and during my mom´s birthday we were at Beijing. We went out to celebrate her and when we came back to the hotel, there was a cake congratulating her. She was very happy and she was felt very special by this little detail... More

We enjoyed our stay here , bed reasonable. Easy walk to forbidden city and close to subway which was efficient and easy to use. We found the staff helpful. We did not eat here as there were interesting and economical places close by .

This hotel does not deserve five stars. It is very much 1980th. Need a lot of renovation to fulfill to be a five star hotel. We had to change room 3 times. In the first room the cigarettesmoke came in through ventilation. Second room had a terrible smell of molds. The beds are terribly hard and it is difficult to... More

The location is so convenience. Tian an men square and The Palace museum are close too. You can take bus in front of the hotel, cause no taxi allowed to stop around the area. Unless you have to get off a block away from the square or the palace. For shopping and dinning, Wan fu jing stree is just 10-15... More

Our party of 5 stayed in three rooms during mid-April, 2013. The hotel was clean, the staff friendly and the location superb. The bed was comfortable and the buffet in the morning was more than adequate. It is a short 10-15 minute walk to the main Beijing attractions including the Imperial Palace and Tienanmen Square. It could have been any... More

Our family of 3 stayed here in mid April 2013. The rooms are nicely furnished and in good condition. Amenities include flat screen TV (only English channels are CNN and BBC), very firm twin beds, two chairs, desk, ironing board & iron, mini bar, and bathroom with good water pressure. Two complimentary bottles of water are provided daily. Note that... More
