I recently spent 5 nights at this hotel in the hutongs of old Beijing. It is a great way to get the feel of more traditional China. It was a surprise to find this lovely and comfortable hotel, so very Chinese in character, in the midst of the hutongs which, intially, are not very prepossesing. Had a great stay here over Easter. The location is in a hutong, with grey concrete all around, but with an atmosphere of the old Beijing that's rapidly vanishing. This small new boutique type hotel in a Hutong was a delight. Rooms comfortable, with thoughtful furnishings and arty decorations; above all lovely friendly staff.
