The first night here we walked to the performing arts center. Very near the square & forbidden city. Quick cab ride to Temple of Heaven. (don't take the cabs waiting at the gate when you leave - go to the street). Right by Xidan mall where they have Mr Pizza & Starbucks. Large clean rooms with lots of storage &... More

This was the nicest hotel of our whole trip. It was very clean and modern and the buffet breakfast had a wide choice of food both eastern and western. The room was very large with a sitting area, the bath only had a shower but it was large also. There were many good local restaurants in walking distance and not... More

Excellent location in the Xidan area about 3/4 mile from Tienanmen Square and Forbidden City. Very large comfortable room with 2 beds. Nice bathroom with modern fixtures. Very clean throughout. Robes and slippers provided. This hotel is only 2 years old so it is in overall excellent condition. Fantastic breakfast with multiple Chinese and western selections. Very close (less than... More

The hotel is an easy walk to some tourist sites, the rooms are large and clean. Air conditioning control is very iffy. When I asked for them to check the temperature they did however the thermostat doesn't hold. Biggest challange is their food in the buffet - most of the food is cold. Plus if you arrive on a day... Great 4 star hotel. Huge room with twin beds. Extremely clean. Shower worked well, had clean linens and towels. Housekeeping kept everything clean. Hotel near lots of shopping and restaurants, in walking distance to Joy City Mall. Breakfast had everything, western and asian food, all excellent.

This hotel is fairly close to the center of the city and you can walk to the Square. It's also near metro station Xidan. It's marketed mainly for domestic business travelers, corporate functions, and international tour groups. Our room is large, furnished with two double beds, a desk, a sofa, a coffee table and chairs. TV is a 42" flat... More

This was the last hotel we stayed during our 6D5N tour in Beijing. The first impression upon entering the hotel lobby was normal - lacks the grandeur of a supposed 4 star hotel. When we entered our room, our jaws dropped and we had to take a second to take in the sheer size of the room which was HUGE... More

This was the last property we stayed at as part of our Gate1 China tour, and it was a very nice property with modern touches. Supposedly this hotel is mainly used for government people staying nearby, and most of the time, it seemed like there was no one but our tour group in the hotel. This is a very solid... More

"Woooowwwwwww!" Literally that was my reaction when I opened the door and saw our room at this hotel. It was quite large and included a separate seating area with a couch and a couple of chairs. There was a large tv and desk also in the room but there was so much space, it wasn't crowded at all. The bathroom... More

The rooms were huge with kitchenette. The bathroom shower was enormous. Felt like I was staying in a city condo. I was impressed. The hotel caters more to Asians and tour groups that have a connection for the rate. There may be a slight language barrier with certain parts of the staff, but you really get your money's worth here.
