While the place is right at the heart of the city, some taxis refuse to go inside the courtyard to the hotel because the street is busy and its hard to go in. Other than that, the hotel is ideal for solo or couple travel. The price is reasonable and not very far from the points of interests. Its just... More

We booked through Agoda and got a reasonable price which made this hotel good value for money. We didn't have a view of a park as the name suggests but we did have a view of an interesting little Chinese side street full of activity, restaurants, a convenience store and fruit vendors. At the park end of the street was... More

Stayed here at the end of our Intrepid trip. Our room was large and comfortable, with a great hot shower. Only annoying thing was they never made our bed properly, and never changed the sheets (ours had a blood stain on it!). Lots of noise from the corridor at night and many people in our group got "interesting" phone calls... More

Just got back from Beijing where I stayed at the King Parkview Hotel. For starters, NO cab drivers know where this place is. And those that do don't want to take you there! Beware: taxi drivers in Beijing will try and rip you off, after either refusing to drive you where you want to go or driving straight past you... More

Warning….don’t stay here!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There weren't many reviews of this hotel online, so we took our chances based off of the few reviews we saw & their claim to be close to the Forbidden City. Well, we quickly learned that money does not go as far in Bejing as it did in the other cities we visited (Shanghai & Xian) when... More

The location of the hotel is very good. It is near the forbidden city but other than that the hotel room is so dusty. The bed is very very hard. I always get back pains in the morning. The staff is not attentive we were in front of the front desk but the girl on duty keeps on chatting on the... More

Our room at this hotel was small, but clean. The bed, as with most beds in China, was HARD, very HARD! The staff were helpful, although they generally spoke very little English. The location of the hotel for the Forbidden City was very, very good - about 5 minutes walk to the North Gate. However, to see anything else was... More

Stayed for 4 nights and it was 4 nights too many. Although the location is great, being close to the Forbidden City and the beautiful park that is at the North Entrance (exit) of the FC, the hotel itself was very basic and the staff did not aim to please. The service was minimal. The room was plain and bare... More

Location makes the hotel, around the corner from " The forbidden city" . The status 4* is a littlebit on the high side, the room is basic and breakfast is disapointing. Also the lack of english speaking receptie-staff is a problem.

New building in a great location, a wannabe 4 star. Actually in the lobby they say it's a 5 star! Unfortunately it doesn't look brand new, and it's certainly not a 4 star. Rather a typical 3 stars, even in chinese standards. For the internet price it's a great value (around $50). Don't even think of paying regular street price... More
