The taxi driver that picked us up at the airport couldn't find the hotel and dunno where it is. All was sorted out when he made a call to the recep. Nice service and friendly staff. Good location. 10 mins walk to the Forbidden City, 5 min walk from Wangfujing shopping district, 10 min walk to the metros, grocery stores... More

Stayed here for 1 night only. I chose it because of the location, so conveniently located near the famous Wangfujing shopping area. The standard room contains basic, very clean, well furnished & it has good clean toilet (bonus point!). It's a bit small but good enough for two people. For Muslim, there's a Halal restaurant nearby. The only downside: It's... More

The location of the hotel is pretty good, just about 10 - 15 min walk from the Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City. This is considered pretty close considering the size of the city! It is not exactly close to a subway station, which is also about 10 – 15 min walk, if you have luggage to carry around and... More

The price was good, as was availability and location. Bed was absolutely rock hard though and poor water pressure for shower. Also plumbing issues with a running toilet all night. Wouldn't advise as a first choice.

The biggest advantage with Citytel Inn is its location. If you are a backpacker, or with a group of backpackers, I would recommend this hotel. I stayed there for 2 days and was in the room only to sleep. The rooms were very clean, well furnished, and with basic amenities provided. I did not have food in Citytel Inn, so... More

Stayed at Citytel Inn for 3 nights during my visit to Beijing & was overall satisfied with my stay. The hotel's location is perfect. It is less than 10min walk to Wanfujing metro station & wanfujing street in one direction & 10min walk to Tian'anmen square & the forbidden city from the other direction, also if you continued walking 10... Booked via cTrip. I chose this hotel based on the "good budget hotel" reviews on Tripadvisor. Either I stayed at a different hotel or standards have slipped drastically. It is way over-rated on TA. The tone was set by the totally uninterested girl at the front desk, who gave the impression we were interrupting her day. There was little or... More

This place is perfectly positioned between the major landmarks of Tiananmen Sq / Forbidden City and the Wanfujing business area. Rooms are spacious and well equipped, but mine had a pretty rank smell that I couldn't eliminate. The breakfast was strange - no western food and no drinks (tea/coffee) on the two occasions I went. Cheap though. The dumpling place... More

Citytel inn is in a really good location within walking distance to TIananmen square, Forbidden city and Wangfujing road. There are a few dining options and some small convenience stores around. The hotel is just average, the room was not that spacious and the furniture quite worn out, the employees at reception spoke limited English and were not that helpful.
