This is a really good hostel located in old quarters of Beijing. The patrons were very knowledgeable and they speak good English. I highly recommend this hostel.

The hostel was more than I expected, food was great, staff were excellent and the overall experience was good. I would go back whenever i return to Beijing. There are many activities lined up so enjoy. Very clean place too.

Very cosy and comfortable. The staff are friendly and extremely helpful! Getting a free drink on arrival made us feel so welcome. I stayed at Chinese Box for a week during the summer of 2011 and I loved it. The staff were so helpful and the hostell itself was beautiful. There were also a couple of cute cats running around the courtyard. Chinese Box has everything a traveller needs

Chinese Box is what a hostel should be. It's got lots of character and provides an ideal setting for travellers to meet. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in Beijing.
