I love this hostel. I've stayed there three times now and it's the only hostel I will stay at in Beijing. The atmosphere alone is enough to keep me coming back. Great place to meet foreigners and locals alike. In the heart of Beijing its a short walk to the Forbidden city, Tiananmen square and Qianmen street. If you want... More

I really loved this hostel! The bar is a great place to hang out and meet other travelers. They have nice breakfast, food and drinks! The hostel is very clean! Everthing is getting cleaned very well every day, even the dorms! I haven't seen this anywhere else during my travels in Asia, Australia and New-Zealand! The dorms are quite spacious... More

We moved here after our last hostel was awful! We looked at the rooms before we booked a 4 bed dorm room. The hostel is well located and has plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. The 4 bed dorm was good, soft mattresses and decent bedding. Each person has a decent sized locker but you need to provide a padlock.... More

Stayed here whilst visiting our son on his year in Beijing. Very basic but clean accommodation but great staff and amazing breakfast which was just what you needed as a respite from all that Chinese food

Stayed here for 3 nights. The map they give you is a little hard to understand as the McDonald's and KFC confused us. There are at least 3 McDonald's and 2 KFCs around the subway exit! So it took us a while to find. The location is excellent!!! 5-10 minutes walk to subway station and about a 10 minute walk... More

This hostel rocks! The staff are awesome, as is the food and location. It's less than a 10 minute walk to the subway station, and there are always plenty of Westerners to chat to in the restaurant. Otherwise, if you'd rather or more 'When in Rome' adventure, you can easily wander around the nearby traditional hutongs. Rooms are cheap, including... More

First of all, THEY HAVE SOFT MATTRESSES! You won't see these in most of hostels in China. Rooms are clean, but you can hear everything from the corridor, every bang of the door makes the glass wall vibrate loudly. Showers are awesome, good pressure, hot and clean! It was never crowded either. There' s a tiny kitchen area also where... More

There was nothing special that struck me about this place. The restaurant is waaayyy overpriced for some of the things you get (like $4 for two slices of toast and half-melted blobs of cheese they pass off as "cheese toast. Give me a break). My friend cracked her retainer on their nachos because we're pretty sure the chips expired eons... More

friends recommended this to me for one thing: it's good for cold months where you can just stay at the hostel bar and have some drinks to keep you warm :) I agree with them. it's a backpacker's hostel and it's right at the heart of qianmen (meishi street) where you have close access to some landmarks ie. Railway Station,... More

Stayed here for 5 nights intially and then extended my stay by a night because I loved Beijing so much. It's easy to get to from Qiamen underground (a 10 minute walk down a main road, then the street opposite the McDonalds). I had a 'twin superior' to myself, which had a large ensuite. Room was clean and tidy with... More
