A great architectonically interesting house in the middle of the maze of Lamu town. Different size rooms that are nicely decorated but starting to be little shabby. Everything is slightly damp and doesn´t smell realy 100% nice. But all the terrases all over the house are wonderfull. You can sit and relax in plenty of places. The pool is nice....

We chose Jannat House on the basis of recommendations at Trip Advisor and were not disappointed at all. We stayed for five nights at US$60 per night in late June 2011 and it was hard to leave.
Elizabeth and Johnny were the most friendly and attentive hosts who made our stay a memorable experience. We neglected to tell them how...

We reached the Jannat house in August 2011; their personnel came to pick up us at the airport and they brought us at the hotel, carrying our luggage.
The premise is very nice, there are two buildings joined together, with nice plants, a swimming pool and many floors with different relax areas.
In the beginning they assigned us a room...

The staff are extremely friendly and helpful in this swahili styple hotel in the backstreets of Lamu town. We were met at the airport by the assistant manager who escorted us to the hotel. The room was very pretty and very clean, with a big bed and en-suite facilities. Breakfast was good and included fresh fruit. Other meals could also...

Very lovely place, not quite the jewel of Lamu that it clearly once was as the owner belives it still to be. Just a little tired in the details (bathroom taps, rattling fans, lamest breakfast ever) but still incredibly friendly, clean and overall charming. Lamu itself is just fantastic.

I would highly recommend this marvelous Lamu hotel to anyone especially families. We stayed there over Christmas and New Year 2010-2011 and it was 5* all round. Both my children of 5 and 15 years, delighted in the crystal clear pool every morning , noon and night - it was very easy to supervise them at all times. The staff...

I didnt really like my experience in this B&B. I didnt get picked up at the airport as agreed upon (even though they were reminded 1 day before by my travel agent) and the initial reaction when I called them from the airport was not very pleasant. They requested that I pay for my own boat trip back even though...

We are sorry that our apology to the guest was not accepted. We was expecting her with another airplane. She booked and paid by the agent for a low budget room with shared bathroom, but we gave her a room with private bathroom which cost the double of what she paid for. She had the choice between rooms with 1...

We stayed at Jannat for 6 nights at the beginning of August. The hotel is a very nice swaili house well renovated and with a lot of terraces with sofas where you can relax. The gardens are also very nice, there is a cool atmosphere and the personnel is friendly and helpful. However the place is surely not a boutique...

Very nice place to stay. Close to town, where we could let the kids go alone because of the safe and traffic-free environment. A small, clean pool where our youngest proudly learned to swim. We liked the special features of the old building, with stairs and small terraces "everywhere" where you can find a place for yourself to relax.
