We stayed at Palacina for a couple of weeks in February. We loved the place and will stay there whenever we visit Nairobi. The hotel rooms are very large- bedroom, bathroom, living room, and outdoor patio. The furniture and decorations are very well coordinated and the entire hotel is very well put together. They have beautiful fresh cut flowers all... more

Palacina is a truly great hotel. The atmosphere is amazing...the service so warm and hospitable and the service is super. We were nervous to go to Nairobi after all the trouble we had seen on TV but Palacina was the perfect place to go. Secluded, gated but literally 5 minutes to town with beautiful, warm modern african decor. The food... more

Had a good week's stay at the Palacina in February. With the uncertainties of that time, the hotel was a real haven of calm, green, friendliness and helpfulness. The adjacent restaurant is perfectly good, too, if you don't fancy venturing out on town every night. I could imagine that the lack of air conditioning might get oppressive if it gets... more

We arrived late at night before a safari in the Masai Mara. It is a gated and guarded location which provides the security you need in Nairobi. We felt perfectly safe there. We had a very nice (not luxurious as the website may lead you to believe) room which was massive (separate lounge, bedroom, bathroom and dressing area). We were... more

An excellent hotel to relax in after a long flight. Well appointed spacious rooms. We were upgarded to a penthouse suite and our daughter stayed in a standard suite-both excellent. It was quiet and restful and the service and ambience were of a very high standard. We were guests on a Saturday and so were entertained by their 'must see... more

This is by far the best hotel I've had the privilege to stay in within Kenya. I've been living in Nairobi on and off since 2000 and from time to time have had to stay in various hotels throughout the city. None of them compare to the Palacina. The staff, the location, the services, the rooms (Residence Rooms) are wonderful.... more

You know what they say "you can’t please everyone" and sadly this time it’s me. The Palacina building itself is comprised of purpose built concrete apartment blocks, (I did wonder why the hotel photos don’t show the exterior of the building). These are however surrounded by pretty gardens. The rooms are spacious with a separate sitting area and balcony, although... more

What a find! The Palacina is by far the best hotel in Nairobi in terms of comfort of rooms, service of staff, and security of premises. I come to Nairobi 2 times a year on business, and this was my first time at Palacina - now I will never stay anywhere else. It almost makes Nairobi (which is not the... more

I heard about this hotel from a colleague when I was in Nairobi last time and went for dinner at the Moonflower Restaurant (which was excellent!) When I was there I immediately made a booking for my next visit. It is the kind of place that I feel a bit reluctant to recomend simply because everyone will find out about... more
