We had a lovely weekend staying at one of the stilt/treehouse rooms. It was just what we needed. A breath of fresh air. The staff were not in your face, but available if you needed anything. Two dinners in the evening in a beautiful dining area were like special dinner parties. The food was lovely and the grounds just wonderful.... More

As resident in Kenya and after more than 20 years of traveling around the world, it is the first time I feel to write about my feelings about an accomodation. To make it short, I am not quite sure how come you can charge for non resident 460 usd full board for a cold swimming pool (4 m x 2... More

We greatly enjoyed our three nights at Ngong House, resting up from a long safari. Paul the owner is a charming host, our cabin was comfortable and clean, the food is the best we have had in several trips to mainland Africa (only Madagascar was as good or better), the service was excellent, transfers to/from the airport were efficient. We... More

Having heard and read good things about Ngong House, we had quite high expectations. Unfortunately, these were not met. The rooms were not clean. For instance, someone had used one of the cups as an ashtray and it had not been properly cleaned afterwards, something we discovered by the taste when drinking from it. There was a dead moth in... Worth every penny! As other reviewers have noted: magical and special place. We loved our room, the treehouse featured on their website. We have never stayed at such a unique place. We felt like little kids playing house. Kip welcomed us with yummy pineapple juice and from there the special touches just kept coming. They are unobtrusively attentive and the... More

Nairobi is not exactly a hotel paradise, but just outside Nairobi is the town of Karen and there is a bit of paradise there called Ngong House. When we arrived, weary from a trip from the USA we were taken to our own little house to rest before dinner. It had a big bed and a large spacious bathroom. We... More

I've lived in Nairobi for 3 years and hosted many guests in that time. I've sent a few here just having heard it was great but finally went with my husband this weekend. Everything about this place is just perfect. It's magical and right out of a storybook. Seriously, amazing. I don't know how many brains and hands put these... More

I stayed at this gorgeous property alone yet never felt lonely due to the great community spirit fostered by the nightly bonfire, drinks and group dinner. My tree house was so much fun to stay in, the bed was ridiculously comfortable (and huge!) and the furnishings reminded me I was indeed in Africa. I could not imagine a more generous... More

Ngong House is truly one of the most spectacular hotels I have ever been to! We stayed here for 2 nights to recover from jet lag before heading out on safari. Paul, the host/owner, was incredibly warm and friendly as was his entire staff. The tree house and log cabin accommodations were absolutely gorgeous and so unique! The food was... More
