We stayed 4 nights in this wonderful guest house. We enjoyed being in this West Bank village from which we could see the Valley of the Queens and one of the very best temples that we saw in all of Egypt -- Menedit Habu. As you will see from the photos, we were adjacent to a beautiful set of wheat... More

Beit Sabee gets mixed reviews from us. Finding Beit Sabee the first time is quite difficult. Our drivers spent 30 minutes trying to find it the first night. They were in contact via cell phone with the Hotel, but somehow had trouble understanding exactly where it was. We went past the police checkpoint several times in the dark as the... More

We stayed at Beit Sabee for six nights.and, while there are many positive things to say about it, we feel it is seriously over-priced for what it offers. Our large room was reasonably comfortable and reminded us of something we saw in Kathmandu in the 1970's. Being on the ground floor, it was always dusty if you wanted to open... More

To begin, thank you very much for your feedback--both the positive feedback and the constructive feedback. We always welcome both. I would like to take a moment to respond to a few of your comments, however, just to clarify for other viewers of this post: Regarding the dust, unfortunately it is a natural part of the Egyptian landscape and is... We stayed here for 4 nights before our dahabiyya down the Nile with the fabulous Nour el Nil who also run the guesthouse. Staying on the west bank is a far cry from the hustle, bustle and hassle of central Luxor and we loved the peace and quiet this guesthouse offers. The colourful,  clean, and comfortable rooms with attached bathroom... More

We stayed here for five nights at the beginning of October. It was a lovely relaxing place to stay especially after the mayhem of Cairo. The room was a delight and the view of the walls of medinat habu in the morning were wonderful. We hired bikes which made getting about between the tombs and the east bank a breeze.... More

I stayed at Beit Sabee for once, and the excellence of the place and the service was the main reason why Beit Sabee is the only place I refer clients to. As a tour guide in Cairo, most of my clients are high-end and business people, and I always ask for a feedback, and the most comment I get regarding... More

I have stayed at Beit Sabee Hotel on 2 separate trips, and don't want to go anywhere else. The rooms are incredibly comfortable, spacious and eloquently designed. The food is outstanding, complete with home-made moussaka, guava jam, and loads of freshly baked Egyptian bread. Aside from the awe-inspiring view of the desert, what makes Beit Sabee unique in my eyes... More

Having lived for sometime in Southern Egypt 10 years ago, I was more than eager to go back, and experience the splendors of the West Bank of the Nile once again. For the traveler that wants a magical and special Egyptian experience, away from the other tourists and big hotels, there is no better than Beit Sabee. The West Bank... More

Beit Sabee is a charming guest house with several delightfully decorated rooms arranged around a central courtyard. All have private baths and views of the the courtyard or the date palms and fields of the surrounding village. From the roof deck you can see Medinate Habu, the Valley of the Kings and watch the balloons soar overhead at dawn. On... More

Great hotel for a single traveller since you breakast at one long table with other guests and dinners are also communal. Breakfast on the terrace looking one way at the desert and the other into village life, people working in fields, animals and paddies and palms. And at night a beer round a brazier like ancient times. Delightful hamlet to... More
