Gorgeous Hotel surrounded by beautiful gardens – not to mention the stunning Pyramid backdrop. We didn’t have a pyramid view room (as we didn’t spend much time in the room) but we did have a view of the construction going on in the grounds with the new pool. This is one of the great hotel locations in the world. Sitting in the lobby bar with the Great Pyramid looming right behind you is genuinely unique. The view from our Garden View room with the Palace and Great Pyramid behind was spectacular. There are flowers everywhere, including rose petals in your bathroom and fresh flowers in the public areas.... more

A stunning hotel in view of the Pyramids, with three restaurants, two lounges with entertainment, pool, gym and other amenities. Service was superb. Though construction is underway for a new restaurant building and pool, the noise was not distracting. Highly recommend this hotel. We had pyramid a view room, the Great Pyramid was filling the view from our bedroom and we loved it. Built in 1869 as a hunting lodge for the king, it is steeped in history. Having three full days of exploration of Cairo with our knowledgeable guide, it was like an oasis returning in the evenings... more

If you don't mind gazing at the Great Pyramids constantly this is THE place to be, not to mention the great service and wonderful food. Although it is not central Cairo, who cares, seeing the Great Pyramids on a daily basis is a wonderful, once in a lifetime experience! We tried in vain to get at least one nights stay... more

Although there are building works going on these didn't impact on our 3 night stay. We ate in both the Indian and Fine Dining restaurants and both were excellent.
