This hotel had a/c which is a must in Cairo. It is located in Zamelek which is a really nice suburb of Cairo. We could walk over the Nile into downtown Cairo (about 30 mins) but there were enough nice restaurants around our hotel. The staff were great and they even stored some luggage for us. more

This time our experience was not so good; our first night was in an allegedly double room, but it was, frankly, tiny. (And 3 floors up in a sort of annexe.) My Egyptian friend booked this hotel for me when the original hotel I booked failed to deliver the room they promised. He was taken to see the room I was to get and liked it so booked it for me. This is the best value we have had so far. When we stayed our triple was only 47 USD. In our room we had a fridge, 3 comfortable beds, a balcony, cable TV, and a dresser. My wife and I stayed ay Hotel Mayfair Cairo for only few hours but enought time to be shoked with the very dirty room.The bathroom is a joke.
