I used this hotel for its great location, & its access to all public transportation, good value for my pocket, still doesn't feel like a hotel but more of a hostel, the breakfast was a hard boiled egg, jam, cheese & a cup of hot tea, the room wasnt that luxurious but remember what you paid to stay, high cieling... This hostel was a little difficult to find, but worth it. Rooms facing Tahrir square have the best view of the city and balconies. Location is unbeatable, all buses stop here, there is a metro station right downstairs, and it is the center of Cairo. Rooms are clean and simple, we had one with a bathroom and it was also... More

I stayed in this hostel several years ago (2000), but felt compelled to write a review now. I've backpacked quite a bit and stayed in more hostels than I can count, but this one has stayed with me. Take this review with a grain of salt since it's been a decade since I stayed. The room was huge with high... More

OK, the entrance to the hotel is diabolically awful - cracked paving stones and dirty. But once inside the building,... More

The hostel was hard to find, the entrance is behind a newspaper kiosk between 2 buildings. We obviously looked lost and were directed to the lift by a friendly neighbour. The lift has a dodgy feel about it, as does most of the building. Once inside the hostel, you might see just how run down the budget rooms are on... More
