Just like in the photos this traditional guest home. Take the Anguk station exit toward Hyundai corporate office bldg on the corner. Slide up the street two blocks to a sidestreet no wider than a car. The entrance is private and set well back from the road. The dog is wonderful and friendly and a great guard dog. The Korean... Our family of four stayed here for two July nights in the roomy "Special Room" and I have to say it was a fun experience that helped us connect with Seoul in a unique way. Other reviewers have accurately used descriptors such as "rustic", "quaint", "peaceful", "simple", "pleasant" and "small". We found the hosts and their house to be pleasant... More

I stayed for 5 nights at IP Boutique Hotel at Itawon, before checking out and moving into Seoul Guest House. And I am loving every second of it!!! I'm here in autumn and the air is starting to get cold. But the heating mats on the floor makes everything toasty and very comfortable. Between a modern hotel that seems so... More

This is my second hanok stay and it will probably be my last. It's nice to try once or twice for a traditional Korean housing experience. However, for the price you can stay at a nice love motel with your own bathroom, amenities, and computer. My problem with hanoks is that you have to leave your room and go outdoors... More

To start with it: of course it is a simple location as you will get a small room with not much more than a mattress and AirConditioning and the two shower/bathrooms are shared. And there is no breakfast but at least hot tea/coffee (I bought some pastry or cookies the day before and had my breakfast). But to the positive... More

Leave your images of fluffy duvets and room service at the big door!! Mattress on floor. Clean. Had time for 1 night only, but really wanted the experience, and am SO happy to have made the effort. Extremely peaceful. Easy to find as long as you write down or print the map from the website....in Korea you get directions based... More

Centrally located amongst the Palaces and Hanok Village, you will love your stay at the Seoul Guest House. Run by a lovely couple, along with their dog, rabbit and chicken, this place gives you an authentic Korean experience and is very reasonably priced for Seoul. The owner, Misa, speaks very good English and is a wonderful and helpful woman. I... More

If you wish to full-immerge yourself in the Korean culture, stay here! This Hanok is located in a very pleasant corner of Seoul, very close to Insadong (and Sanchon restaurant, which I also recommend), the place is clean, peaceful and the owner is very kind. We had no problem to check in late in the evening, and to find the... More

We spent 3 days in the Seoul Guesthouse and we really enjoyed it. It's an oasis in the middle of a crowded city, very original, and definately something different than the usual hotels. If you're looking for a western-style hotel with room service and romantic candle light dinners, don't go here. If you're looking for an uncomplicated, simple, and relaxed... More
