East Hotel has good rooms, well lighted, comfortable beds, good bathrooms with plenty of hot water. Breakfast is served off the menu. The location of the hotel is right smack in the middle of downtown with plenty of restaurants nearby and the Sule Pagoda is about 2 blocks down the street.

I just stayed here one night after a long international flight. Good room with a very comfortable madras, clean, and with a good city view. Very friendly staff - they helped me to arrange a domestic flight in Burma.. Would definitly recommend this place - location is great, close to all the "must see".

It's near market and cinema . easy to take taxi. the staff is very friendly and have travel information and recommend about things to do. short walk to sula pagoda , scott market , department store and cenima. we took taxi to shwedagon pagoda about 3 us$. and botatung pagoda paid 2 us$. so.this hotel location is center of yangoon.
