I stayed at this hotel on our first night in Yangon, and it was a pleasant experience after a very long flight. We appreciated the complimentary welcome drink, the setting in a calm and peaceful area of the city, the helpful staff, the nice restaurant, the large and clean bathroom. We would have liked to stay here again later during... More

A beautiful and relaxing boutique hotel in the heart of Yangon. Rooms are tastefully decorated, in a beautiful house, nested in a relaxing garden. The restaurant is very nice, both the food and the atmosphere : a nice place to sit for a drink and a chat. And it's of very good value for Yangon

Stayed for two evenings. A very charming boutique hotel indeed. Not a luxurious type, and in Yangon it's not easy for find another similarly clean and decent hotel at this price. I was given a huge bedroom on the ground floor. I actually do not need that much space for myself, but they say they are full. A downside though... More

We chose the Alamanda Inn having read its reviews on Trip Advisor. My husband and I stayed there one night on our arrival in Yangon and again for one night before departing the country ten days later. I realize now we should have made a different decision. While our experience wasn't awful it wasn't great either. The hotel and its... More

I have lodged at the Alamanda one night and I had a wonderful relaxing time. The hotel is an excellent value for money, it is quiet and located in the Golden Valley, the rich area of Yangon, a garden itself. I stayed at room no. 9, which is very nice and has a super big bathroom. The public area at... More

This is a very good value and characterful hotel, compared with blander and/or much more expensive other options we were offered in Yangon. Above all it is a really relaxing place to go back to in a residential district after a day in the traffic and bustle of Yangon. The French owners manage the place efficiently; they are not in... We were recommended to eat here but we were disappointed. Yes the restaurant is delightfully decorated in traditional style but the food was only acceptable and the service was down right poor. I had chicken in garlic with ratatouille which was rather bland and tasteless. We were not offered bottled water only drinking water in a jug. We were not... More

My girlfriend and I stayed here in December 2012 - it was our first hotel of our two week visit to Myanmar. The hotel itself exceeded our expectations... the room was very welcoming and comfortable, the bed was comfortable and the food was acceptable. The bathroom had a chest height shower head next to the toilet, but it was manageable.... More
