GMER is in a good location in the older part of Yangon. Very close to the local markets and walking distance to plenty of places to eat. Not recomended unless you are staying for more that one month in Yangon. It's not really a hotel, but is a serviced apartment building. No internet in room and breakfast not included. There's a pool, a couple of exercise machines, and a couple of over-priced restaurants. It's a nice place, but better to stay in a good 4-star tourist hotel....

Got a really good rate of about £50 per night direct with the hotel. It isnt actually a hotel, but an apartment complex, big, comfy rooms, modern inside, nice big bathrooms, balcony, good air con (essential) and nice pool. There are alot of expats here so its a good meeting place,...
