An acceptable hotel for west and central african standards, but what drives me crazy (and after so many years still can't get used to the robbery), is that they charge you $30 for a lousy internet connection, and like $40 for a breakfast!!!!! Great location, right in town and just off the main road. Perfect for Business not great for families. The chef is TOPS!! The French restaurant is superb but pricey. Rooms are standard to a bit small. Quite expensive as rooms start at about US$260 per night WITHOUT breakfast (+US$26)

Memling's letterhead shows five stars, much to my amusement. I've stayed at The Grand Hotel a number of times but the last two visits I've been at The Memling. It is just so much better!! The rooms are lovely and clean, service good, gym has machines in it, the food is good and a fair price, I could go on. OK so Kinshasa doesn't have a good deal to... More

But still it's in Kinshasa and the rooms are pretty depressing, facilities pretty limited and the restaurant plainly awful. Service is sometimes bad sometimes worse. Still better than its competition...
