What it lacks in frills, it surely makes up by being right next to the sea. I slept and woke up to the sound of the waves. I don't think any other budget hostel in Port Villa can boast of that.(I am not talking about the resorts of course!) For $16 per night, I thought it was value for money,... More

The fact that the Blue Pango is for sale may contribute to the terrible upkeep. Our room did not have fresh sheets, the bathroom had not been cleaned for some time, we had to rat around in a back room behind the main living quarters to get cooking utensils. While we were told the cost was $1200 vatu on the... More

We stayed 10 days at blue pango. We loved it. It is back to basics however I would choose to stay here over some of the other more expensive resorts. I booked directly with Solomon lee via email. Helen (solomon's wife) is lovely. She provided us with some fish one night which we cooked for dinner. She also cooked some... More

5 minuts by local bus from town, down a gravel road, you dont expect his little hideaway to have such a lovely view. lying in the hamic under the pandana trees and chilling out. it gets the trade winds so can be cool on a blistering day. 5 minuts from the posh resorts if you want a meal or to... This is a very nice place, if you want to stay close, but at the same time out of the city, located right next to the ocean,we enjoyed a beer watching the waves in a hammock..., however, there is no sand beach for swimming, the accommodation is quite basic, we even had a few cockroaches; the owners are friendly, but... If you are looking for a budget place in Vila (which is very expensive accomodation wise)then you can't go wrong with Blue Pango. It is about 12 motel style units around a clean blue swimming pool right on the coast. There are palms along the shore with hammocks swung between, and a refreshing sea breeze that you dont get in... Hotel has a great location: At the oceanfront (however no sand beach), very quiet because outside of the city (but buses to the city pass by every couple of minutes) and away from the road. Our room had aircon and a small kitchen (that we didn't use). Every room has a small terrace with table/chairs. Moreover, there are hammocks and... More

Family run motel units with kitchen and bathroom. I stayed in 4berth dorm at very affordable rate for bed The short driveway is a shock but inside is a treat. This time of year is ideal. The breeze comes in off the sea first thing. Free wireless Internet. Daily clean. Personal service by Korean hosts.

I totally agree that the bad review was unfair. For people wanting 5 star resort accommodation they should stay elsewhere and pay the price for 5 star resort accommodation. For $40 per night for a room for 3 people, with a kitchen, waterfront accommodation and someone that cleans you room for you I just cannot imagine that unmatching cutlery or... More

Just spent 16 nights @ a very affordable $43/night motel...I chose this motel for several reasons... One being it is so close to Breakas surf break and other surf breaks...About a 10 minute coastal walk to Breakas yielded to me some fine surfing action... Rubbish has now been removed from entrance track to motel...This accomodation was perfect for us because... More
