OK, sorry. Truth is, they put us up here whenever we go to POM and we get no choice at all. It is tolerable, but I am damn glad I don't have to pay for it as it is very overpriced. My tip would be to get a transfer vehicle of some kind to the Airways Hotel and eat there.... More

On arrival the foyer is quite cavernous with a lot of people wandering around. But check in was friendly and efficient. The inital impression of the room was good until you looked into the bathroom which was tired and mouldy. The pool bar while inviting from a distance was alive with flies and including myself everybody was covering their glasses.... More

The overall feel of the hotel is that its tired. The rooms need a makeover. We requested a room with two beds, but when we arrived it only had one, so we had to wait for 2-3 hous before they could setup another bed. The pool area isnt too shabby, with an adequate pool and bar. Sadly the WIFI is... More

OK and safe, but completely overpriced. Not sure what it is about Port Moresby but things are hugely expensive. I heard from locals it was because of the significant ex-pat (Australian) community and the dragging up effect they have on prices. So for $400 per night what do you get? 1. Safe hotel with guards and gate 2. Clean small... More

We sincerely appreciate your comments and are always endeavouring to improve our level of service. I have noted in particular your comments about room service and food quality, and will pay special attention to these areas... The new hotel and extension to the current building will be finished mid 2012, while renovation work continues in the current property. More

Rooms are very old, bathrooms revolting with mold and dust everywhere. Reception staff very friendly and restaurant staff excellent. Security seems to be very good. So if you have to put a price on safety then you certainly pay for it. Holiday inns building new wing so let's hope they will then put some money into existing rooms. Basic room... More

Firstly I would like to thank you for your positive comments regarding the staff, they are much appreciated. We are currently building a new apartment block due for completion mid 2012, attached to the current Holiday Inn. Later next year we will open a new 200 room Holiday Inn Express hotel adjacent to current building. Throughout this year and next... More

Situated about 10 minutes drive from the airport in the central government district, the Holiday Inn has definitely got location in its favour if you're in POM on business. I was staying in one of the serviced apartments which was actually pretty comfortable. Bit of a mishmash of decor, the kitchen was old and a bit tatty but the bedroom... More

Good facilities and good food. Facilities are a bit tired however a refurbishment program is underway. The gardens are nice. If you are being picked up from the domestic airport, take your mobile as the courtesy phone is AWOL. The hotel is expensive (even by Moresby standards). Better value elsewhere. More

Overpriced, but thats Moresby. Good grounds, which means you wont go stir crazy if you are there for any length of time. The pool is good and the pool bar is a nice place for a drink. The decor is shabby and the airconditioners are breathless. You would write home about the food because you would still be chewing and... More

The facilities are old and dirty. Service is terrible even though I'm their vip member. Had to beg to be upgraded and they lied saying its full. They eneded up giving me a room with broken air conditioning and then had me move around and look at all the empty rooms till I found a decent one for the price... More

Summary: Port Moresby Holiday Inn is close to the airport so is handy if you have an overnight transit stop (as was the case for me). It has good rooms and nice grounds. Staff are welcoming and helpful. The restaurant and bar are fine. Priority Club status is recognised. Arriving at Port Moresby Holiday Inn: A free airport shuttle is... More
