Havings stayed in Asuncion twice in the past year, I highly recommended the Palace witout reservation. It is centrally located in the heart of downtown with easy access to many restaurants, shops and historic sites of interest. The staff is very friendly and eager to help make your stay pleasant and memorable. You can count on a lovely breakfast, plenty... More

The hotel was on a noisy street in the centre of Asuncion but was thankfully air conditioned. The room was big with high ceilings but the décor seemed a little dated. There was a balcony looking over the street. The beds were really soft and not good for anyone with back problems. There is a lift (old style with manual... More

Good: • Very friendly and helpful staff. • The hotel (which was a former Palace) has great architectural details. In fact, the General Manager (a female) is actually an architect. • A/C worked great! • Nice water pressure and plentiful hot water. • Breakfast was good (but not great). No hot food, but a nice array of coffee/ juices, yogurt,... More

This is a hotel with old-world character with shuttered doors that open on to balconies. Some rooms and bathrooms have been done up and it makes a pleasant place to stay. It also provides a decent breakfast including fresh fruit and fruit juices. The staff were helpful and professional. Perhaps the only downside is that the front rooms with the... More

Our son, who is a Peace Corps volunteer, made all of the arrangements for our visit to Paraguay, starting with the Asuncion Palace Hotel. Knowing that we would be tired from a very long flight, our son made arrangements through the hotel for a car to pick us up at the airport (at midnight), and deposit us into a most... More

We stayed at the Asuncion Palace Hotel for one night on our way from Brazil to Bolivia. Check-in was smooth and we were pleasantly surprised with our room which, from what we could gather, was much larger than the rest of our group’s. Upon entering we walked into a square shaped sitting area with a small sofa and a writing... More

The Asuncion Palace Hotel is a special experience. It is a historical hotel, patrimony of Paraguay, being the home of the Lopez family in the 19th C. Now family run, and from the moment you step in, you are made welcome. You initially get the impression of being in a run down area, but actually, along the river is where... More

I was there two nights, it is a bit old fashioned - like many things in Asuncion. But nevertheless, the rooms are very spacy and have nice details. The breakfast was good and offering many different choices. Would love to come here again, it is so different and much more charming than the modern business hotels.

This is an old family run hotel business with a very central location. The building is old and very colonial. Everything works perfect, the rooms and the bathrooms are wonderful. lots of light in the rooms and they are clean and very airy. During our 7 days stay at this hotel we saw that the staff provides very good service.... More
